Re: 1/4 Hot Toys - QS005 - Avengers: AoU - 1/4 Iron Man Mark 43 Figure

Yeah... I might have to get this. :(

The only question is 1/4th or the 1/6th????

Re: 1/4 Hot Toys - QS005 - Avengers: AoU - 1/4 Iron Man Mark 43 Figure

I might also order this.... just for fun :D

I'm thinking it'll be nice to see a bigger example in hand, may even order the mark 42 too as I'm sure they'll paint it in that colour scheme as well. Apart from those I'm pretty much happy with just the 2 unless they make the mark II, III or VII. ;)

having them both in 1/4 would look great. I just want the 43 because its part of the Avengers line, and there's going to be a lot of different heights between the characters. I'd love a 1/4 MKVII DX with a Tony Stark figure and a launch pod

I think the contrasting colour schemes would be cool together in the bigger scale, I already have plans for the 1:6 scale figures so having them again wouldn't usually be my first choice, the 1:4 scale makes it a more appealing option. :)

The 1/6th goes in the display cabinet with the others and the 1/4th stays out to play with! :lol

I was looking forward to this but after seeing the price on Thanos... not so much. I hope I can afford this when the time comes.

They need to go ahead and release the price for Hulk Buster.. That way everything else will look reasonable in comparison lol

I caved and preordered. As much as I love GoG and I do, Avengers has always been the comic I grew up with and I want to complete the lines of both movies. I love the look of the Mark 43 anyway so it makes sense. Looking forward to the end of summer when I hope to get him

So you preordered the 1:6 scale version then? This is the 1:4 scale version thread & not available for preorder yet unless I've missed something?

Re: 1/4 Hot Toys - QS005 - Avengers: AoU - 1/4 Iron Man Mark 43 Figure

I don't have much retail stuff that's 1/4 scale so I don't know where the prices fall normally for these. How much where the other 1/4 scale hot toys figures? I think this guy looks great, and I'm working on a couple 1/4 scale statues right now that this guy would look great with..but I'm not normally a qrt scale collector so price point will make a bigger impact on my choice for this then it normally would. With thanos and a HB coming in the next year or so, plus a boat load(if the docs get sorted) of other product...I'm on the fence with him because of that stuff. But it just looks like it has such potential...

I think Boba Fett will be a good price bench mark for this figure & that's $469.99..., Iron Man may cost a bit more but I doubt by much.

This is the version I'm waiting to go on PO, the details and proportions are just better compared to its 1/6 counterpart, IMO.

As for the prices of 1/4 articulated figures -- Enterbay's Batman, Joker, and BD T800 were all under $400 (BD T800 costs more on their website now though, as it sold well I guess), between 2012-2013. HT's TDKR Batman sa $465, Terminator Endoskeleton $400 both POd in 2012. 1/4 HT Boba Fett up for PO late 2014 is $470. Play Imaginative's 1/4 War Machine 2.0 was a whopping $600+, diecast and 2 heads (one with Cheadle likeness).

If this won't have any die-cast parts (I think it's not necessary), we can be looking for maybe $500-550.
