Not a great sculpt... as much as HT's version for BB Ex figure.

But awesome paint :)

Man, I can't not get this figure after preordering the Joker. I managed to avoid buying almost ANY Batman movie product since this stuff started, but it looks like it's finally coming around to where I'm happy with the quality and I feel comfortable spending the money. I hope there is an updated Bruce Wayne head sculpt, even if it's an EX item.

Hope they make the leg armor look good this time. The previous ones have had way to soft of sculpt.

I agree EF. I hope in general the suit is better sculpted, proportioned, and a more durable material. From the looks of it, that's indeed what we're getting. The Joker reveal came pretty fast so I expect Batman in a reasonable amount of time. I'm getting my hopes up, I expect great things from this Batman.

Do we have evidence that their making a cloth undersuit?

If theyre indeed doing the cloth undersuit, that should take care if itself

Yeah but I got this feeling that if there is some sort of under suit (I really wish Begins and '89 Batman had one too) that they'd cheap out on the legs and still make them rubber.

The upper torso and arms are one thing. Only about 12 or so panels to glue on such as the abs and ribbing. The legs though? I fear that would be a quality control nightmare. As an individual custom it works, but mass production, especially at the quantity rate they make these at now? I can't see how the leggings would look good. We complain about tailoring, imagine crooked leg panels? :horror

Leggings would be easier with the '89, Returns and Begins suit because there's two, maybe three pieces to glue onto the legs. The TDK one though? That's a lot of panels. Not only that they have to line up JUST right for it to work. Can't see it being successful.

The arms and torso make sense with an under suit but as long as the legs are sculpted with high details (like Evil said, before it was too soft) I wouldn't have a problem with it. The legs on the actual suit for the film is rubber too (save for the "chain mail"). There are a ton of pics from TDK and TDKR where it bunches up, creases and looks just like a hot toys figure.

Nope, just speculation. Here's hoping though. For the chest and arms anyway.

All or nothing. Half and half wouldn't look good.

It looks like he does have a cloth undersuit. Look at the way it reflects light compared to the armor. Look at how it bunches up at the elbows. The bicep armor is also uneven. The gauntlets now have the correct gaps on the inner forearm so you can see his suit underneath.

I can't wait to see more. :D

Medicom suit had a fabric underneath the arms so the arms were seperate then the chest. Not to mention they did not use rubber anf thus had no issues with leaking. The chest was bit off in comparison to the waist and abs needed to be filled out more but it has been done before.

Call me a skeptic but I ain't feeling an improved body. I sure as hell hope i'm wrong though. I mean what else would justify an entire new purchase. Incentive (say a Bale sculpt) is one thing but at around $250 the collector may need more. I know I will.

I am with you on this I think they went cheap and just did a straight up rerelease well if its suck maybe Medicom will give us something

I have a really hard time believing they'll do a straight re-release, especially since the issues with the first one weren't exactly kept on the DL.

I'm very excited to see what the improvements are going to be. I'm really hoping for a reveal by the end of the week. DX02 is up for sale!

That's not the DX02 in the teaser image. It's an all or mostly new figure.

Vault :dunno

The medi doesn't have fabric underneath but it is a better material than rubber whatever it is - I think it's vinyl

But yeah all of nothing - it would look atrocious if the top half had fabric and the bottom didn't :lecture

Depends on how they did it and what materials they used. As long as there was good contrast between the panels and pants on the legs it could be seamless with the top. Just depends on how the illusion of the under part of the pants is done, i.e. painting.

The belt in addition to the upper part of the chest could hide the difference between the two materials quite well. I wouldn't scoff at it if they pulled it off and it looked great. Better than an all rubber, two piece suit. I know someone tried it (upper undersuit, left the rubber leggings) and while they did an admirable job, it looked odd due to the different materials. This was due in part that they used the DX legs which were soft on details any way and couldn't be fixed.

Jyecat language please

I'd say that for poseability reasons it's possibly even more important for the legs to have the fabric that the upper body

Currently you can't get the figure in any dynamic leg poses let alone safely seat him in the tumbler or Batpod

He can't even sit in my interrogation dio :(
