Nope, looks like HT is ditching the whole plastic MMS line for our good old Iron Man. Hasn't been stated by Hot Toys but when have they ever given us fans some communication? It doesn't really make sense for them to make a plastic one.

1) Mark VII goes for $250 and the Diecast goes for $310. Only a $60 difference
2) People are EATING away at this line. Us members on the forums who don't want it make hardly even 1% of their customers. This is selling out like crazy as it is

Makes no sense for them to make a plastic version at around $270/$280 when people are eating away at this new "Diecast" line. Not to mention it's only 40% Diecast. It's still 60% plastic. :slap

Your best bet is too just buy this. Although that doesn't mean they won't make a version 2.0 with a pepper sculpt.

Thanks for your input. I'll probably pre-order it very soon and pay in full. And if for some reason I don't want it, I'm sure I could sell it.

I'm just waiting for the price from my local dealer who hasn't put them up yet, otherwise I'll go with the UK retailers at £240 (367 US dollars) shipped to Sweden...

Just pre-ordered with Sideshow. Not taking the chance that this will be a ***** to find next February. From all early footage, it looks like it'll kick major ***.

I am so ****ing confused. Are they also releasing this in a normal plastic edition?

I wouldn't hold out too much hope. The fact that these figures are still mostly plastic tells me that they have no reason to release a full-plastic figure...

This picture alone makes me want to get both of them.

Water Dio anyone? :pfft:

Can't view it like that! Might as well add up all the money you've used on your collection and cry over the amount.

Personally, I think it's critical to view it like that. For me it keeps this hobby in check and from turning into an addiction.

But at the same time you can't view it like that. What if someone was just going into this hobby and really wanted those two? You can't go "That's $600 right there!" and prevent them from getting it. Keeping your hobby in check is your own self control and how well you use your money.

Someone who's been collecting for 10 years can easily add up the amount they used but what would that do? Maybe they do have self control but they just have been collecting for a while. I don't think adding up the amount is the best way to make yourself control what you buy. You just need to tell yourself to buy what you really want instead of buying figure out of impulse.

If realizing that simple fact prevents them from getting the figures, then I think it's best
they get out of the hobby before it's too late.

But it's their money. If they have the money and can easily spend $600 on two figures, who are we to stop them?

This isn't a cheap hobby and a damn addictive one but I don't think anyone will go so far to spend their whole life savings on these. Granted, there will be that one idiot who does but the majority of us knows our limit and second questions ourself before actually buying a figure. Like me, I try to just focus on the Iron Man line, being that it's expensive as it is. The only figure outside of it that I have bought is the DX11 and Loki. Just a matter of managing your money, which people should learn throughout their life.

We're not stopping them, we're just saying, that's $600. :lol
If they have the money to spend them I don't see why that would be
a big deal to them.

Any case, I think $600 is at about the upper limit of a reasonable price for two IM figs.
A lot are okay with it, and a lot are passing.

Yup, I would pass too but the problem is the only way to get our Mark 42 MMS and Iron Patriot MMS itch scratched is too buy them.

Wish other companies would come out and compete with them. Give us consumers some more options.

:exactly: Enterbay would've been it, but that company still lacks a quality over-all package. Not just a spot-on headsculpt.
Or good outfit.

this and the new WM look like they have diapers on, dunno if it's due to the diecast tho

That's how Mark IV looked like without the pink panties.
Solving some problems bring new ones I guess.. :lol
