You guys are off your rocker if you think HTs won't make a reg MMS Mark 42.

I would love to hear the reasons why you think they will.

1) Mark VII is $250 and Diecast is $310. Prices are already rising, meaning even if these were plastic to begin with, they would have probably been $270/$280

2) What I said above, that's a $40/$30 difference. Why would they make one at $280ish when they see that people are buying away at this new Diecast line?

3) It's 60% plastic still with only 40% being "Diecast" Waste of their time to make one made of 100% plastic for $30 cheaper.

Need to face the fact that they aren't going to be making future Armors in plastic anymore. It's either PPS or Diecast at this point. If the market wasn't doing well for this new Diecast line, I can see them making the plastic version but these things are already selling out.

I feel the same way. The reason we are seeing the Power Pose figure is to have an option other then the Diecast line. Smart or dumb on HT's part, I think that is the reason and there wont be a plastic 42.

:exactly: Their MMS line will be diecast going forward. If you want plastic then PPS is the line for you. It seems pretty clear to me.

It would be stupid to dismiss a plastic version completely, I still hold out hope they'll do a proper BD version

Not when this new line is going so well for them. Had this line been rejected from the consumers, they would have probably had a back up plan where they release plastic version but this Diecast line is selling like hot cakes.

I'm not betting any chances that they will release a plastic version. This one is due in Feb 2014 and they already plan on releasing Mark 3 Diecast and Whiplash Mark 2 + 13 other Iron Man 3 suits. They also release the PPS line, which I bet is to target those who don't like the Diecast line and just want the actual suit itself for a cheaper cost.

I just don't see it happening. Would have loved if they just stuck with the plastic though. Shame they're going this route.

diecast is still in the beginning phase like CDs in a cassette tape market. i believe the mark 42 and iron patriot will ONLY be available in diecast.

I have a rebuttal, money. They will make whatever sells. Iron man sells and they will make a plastic version.

If you have watched the clip from MTV movie awards, you will know how this picture came about:
Stark realized the Mark XLII cannot fly yet as it is still a prototype and it is sliding down with the collapsing house
Very nice picture!

Still not interested in getting this, diecast or not.

lol how do you know how well this figure is selling? Are you privy to Hot Toys financial records or something? AFAIC until I see this sold out months before it's release I'll treat it's popularity the same as any other release.

It's only once the product is out Hot Toys will know how well it's been received, people aren't pre-ordering atm because it's diecast they're doing it because it's Ironman and the next film is out next week so this could of been a standard plastic release and it would of got just the same amount of PO's (probably more given the diecast is turning a lot more people off than getting them on board)

I can see that.

not true, he asks jarvis where is power is at
then jarvis fly's him to Tennessee

Basically, what I gathered was I love milking this franchise cause people will buy no matter what, we are currently in production making another avengers mark 6, it looks just like the last one but it will be limited.

...wait, I just remembered...I thinks we did that already. Ha ha
I can't even remember cause of so many.
Aw, who cares...ironman vi 2.0 coming soon.
Oh, it's limited so you buy.

Putting aside all the comments that people will put about him just telling you to buy his stuff...

The video actually tells us nothing about the product itself.

In a nutshell, he talks about:
- his background with the company
- how they reached out to Disney-Marvel for the Ironman exhibition
- about people's available options of alternative Ironmen statues made by Japanese or American companies; he feels that, as an HK company, they've done pretty well
