I agree with the others. Its not ripped/cracked... That's just the look of it.

That's what I think too. If it was ripped, the texturing wouldn't be embossed/raised like it is in the picture.

First thing I noticed: There is a blob of BluTak holding his arm in at the shoulder.

It is also holding his head on... which are pretty telling signs that what we are seeing there is a proto and is not a final piece. So even if it were cracks (which I don't think it is), it wouldn't mean much since this proto probably isn't even made out of the same material as the final figure will be.
