AoU Thor sculpt is already up on Ebay for $100.

My issue is if I get this, I'd want to keep my TDW sculpt too. I'd have no reason to keep a headless Thor body and I doubt anyone would be jumping to buy it either.

Any takers for a headless LA Thor with everything else? Lol.

It would sell. I have five or six. Work great for customs.

Ah, my bad... sorry, I missed that.

Yeah, you may be able to find a Dark World body parted out cheaper, to be able to swap the arms.

Haha don't worry about it, man. I'm honestly just trying to get as close as I can to a Heroic Age/Oliver Coipel/Straczynski Thor!

I'm seriously considering kit bashing an Odinson custom right now...

That would be a cool custom. Id like to see it.

Winter soldier might work too. Or is that the other arm...can't recall off top my head.

Ah. Cool thanks DA! would take some work but nice base to start with.

He has a silver hand I believe

Edit-your right. It's gloved. Silver, but gloved.

The sculpt looks fine to me. I like the closed mouth, more serious expression. It may not be 100% Hemsworth's likeness and I do feel TDW sculpt resembles him a bit more, but I also think it's a bit hyperbolic to state that the AoU sculpt looks utterly nothing like him.

Regardless of what it is (figures, collectibles, films, etc.), I often feel that it seems like people prefer to look for the negative in something to give them something to complain about, rather than focusing on the positive and stating what they like about it.

Personally, I can't wait to add this figure to the rest of my AoU line. :)

:goodpost: :exactly:

I really like how this turned out. I might be in the minority here, but I actually prefer this head sculpt over the Dark World one.

I honestly like them the same, as they balance each other out. I prefer the expression on the AoU sculpt more than TDW sculpt, but I do feel TDW sculpt is very slightly more accurate in likeness. If I didn't have a TDW figure, I wouldn't feel the need nor urge to swap out the sculpt on the AoU Thor for a TDW sculpt, and vice versa. :)

This figure turned out looking really good. Imo the dark world sleeved version is still the best thor. I'm sticking with that one for my avengers set up. I will be on the lookout for the lighted hammer tho, as It's a great add to the figure. I think owners of the LA version will be selling that for this one for sure

I think he looks great :clap

I concur whole heartedly. I think he's great. I have every Thor and like the figure and character and I find this release to be the best thus far. I do enjoy the helmeted look a bit more, but that's not a hot toys issue.
