Well.... After many many months and always missing the part outs on Toy Anxiety, I finally won an LED hammer on E-bay, and for a great price too!! Glad I held out. Sometimes patience prevails... Always figured I'd eventually pick him up if he got decent discounts since I have every Thor anyway. And always wanted an extra hammer for the rock base that came with the 1st Thor. Now which of my four Thor's do I give it too? .. Hopefully going forward all the Thor's will come with one anyway. I just hope they don't stop including the Metal hammer though. Looking forward to see how he'll look in Ragnarok since his AOU suit was identical to the Dark World suit (other than the change from gold to silver). Also here's to hoping I finally like Loki's look in Ragnarok and they make a killer Hulk too. Still waiting on picking up a version of him as well.

Just finished applying hair to my AOU Thor, now i'm liking him even more.
Did alos some slight paint retouch to bring him so more life.

Is that figure's arms has the same peeling issue like TDW non-armored version?

It only had the issue if you mistreated it, or in a few cases had some paint rub off in the box. I had mine since it was released and the arms were as perfect as the day I got it. The AoU arms seem even more durable.

(Sorry, posting this in a few threads. I’ve been off the grid a bit and lost track of the Marvel threads):

I’ve been stock piling my AoU collection and waiting to unbox when I got closer to having the complete team, but now I’m only waiting on Vision and Quicksilver so it’s time to get these guys some air. I’ve had MK 43, WM MK II & Cap for a while on display, but I’m digging into SW, Thor, Hawkeye, Widow, Hulk and Maria Hill this weekend. Everyone’s pics have been great and tiding me over, but I’m pumped to spend the weekend seeing for myself.

I skimmed the last 20ish pages and didn’t see anything but are there any common issues/QC things that I should watch out for? Only thing I came across was a few people said the loose ankles make him a little unstable without a stand, but that's an easy fix

3rd unboxed, and maybe best so far! I have both DWs so no huge surprises here, but the different sculpt is a welcome addition and looks great (even if it's a shade of a lesser likeness than the DW). For some reason these Thor sculpts have been translating really well in production. Light up hammer is a cool enough gimmick and I'm glad they included it, but I'll probably never display it outside of taking a couple pics. The little tweaks and trim improvements are subtle but nice changes from the DW. Great looking piece!

I need help please: I have the TDW version of Thor and the strap started to come apart. anyone know how to fix it or have any ideas? thanks!

Maybe one of the real modders here has a better idea, but I'd suggest some Locktite, gel super glue. Dab a toothpick into the glue so you don't use too much, then stick that on the strap.

Or if you don't wanna do that, replacement hammers aren't too expensive. I think TA has them for around $23.
