Yep, a tiny dab of gel glue, and squeeze so it spreads to fill the whole area where it's separated. Just be EXTREMELY careful you don't get any on your fingers and then accidentally touch the plastic handle or leather. You'll be left with a permanent fingerprint, or you'll pull the leather apart again in another spot.

Maybe one of the real modders here has a better idea, but I'd suggest some Locktite, gel super glue. Dab a toothpick into the glue so you don't use too much, then stick that on the strap.

Or if you don't wanna do that, replacement hammers aren't too expensive. I think TA has them for around $23.

That happened to mine. I had to glue it. I just gave him the hammer from Vision

Thanks guys, I have some of that glue already and it's great. And what is TA?

I need help please: I have the TDW version of Thor and the strap started to come apart. anyone know how to fix it or have any ideas? thanks!

Happened to mine and I fixed it with a small drop of leather leather glue and let it dry for about a day or so for the bond to strengthen; leather glue forms a flexible/stretchy bond once dry.

Don't use superglue though because it's hard when dry and you'll most likely rip it again.

Just bought this new for $186 with shipping from Midtown Comics. They sent me a 25% off coupon code and since I didn't have a Thor I went ahead and purchased it.

Congrats. He's a really cool figure. My second favorite Thor figure though, only behind TDW LA version.

Just finished applying hair to my AOU Thor, now i'm liking him even more.
Did alos some slight paint retouch to bring him so more life.

Wow! Looks great. So, why doesn't Hot Toys do rooted hair for characters like Thor when they do it for Black Widow? Long hair is long hair right? Why not?

Agreed. If it's done correctly, it can look really good. I generally prefer sculpted hair on male figures and I've seen some rooted hair Thor sculpts where I still prefer the sculpted hair, but there have been some (such as the above picture) where if done correctly, it can look really nice, as mentioned.

Two things.
First, Women's hair is easier to do at 1/6 cause it can look dollish and its fine.
For men's hair, the best one that works is Tibetan lamb fur which emulates real human hair well, but requires meticulous method of applying in individual strands. It really is a pain and requires lots of patience. Then once finished, also requires being styled with hair products.
So longer production time and more costs.
When you use same material,as women's hair, it looks really dollish on a male 1/6 figure and it doesn't look as good.

Aci aragorn is a good example. Although I don't think they used Tibetan lamb fur, whatever they used was still almost as good, but the hair required a lot of work, To make it look at its best actually requires not only trimming the hair, but also use hair products to style the hair.
Out of the box, he looked like 80's Bon Jovi.

The other thing, there's a lot of people who also refuse to own a male figure with real hair. So quite a few loss of sales for that.

Can anyone give me an idea as to what I should use to dye my Thors hair? It's too blonde for my liking. Any help is appreciated.

Is anyone on the waitlist for this one, been waiting a couple of months still hoping it would come through. Just curious

Not exactly a hard figure to track down. BBTS still has them, ebay and other online retailers for retail or cheaper.

I didn't even know this was wait listed at SSC. Thought they would still be in stock. Even if they are, as Bjjer said, it's not a difficult figure to track down or hard to come by. It's not really sought after, so I'm sure you can find dozens of listings for it on eBay for retail or less. No need to wait for a conversion.
