I love that haired sculpt, irok84!!!
It looks the business.

Here's a head alteration i just did for a member here so the AOU head would fit into the original Thor helmet, and the mandatory re-positioning of the wings.

That looks excellent! Earlier this year, I bought a helmet for Thor so I could make this same mod. I've never carved into a sculpt before so I've been stalling.

I had planned on modding a TDW sculpt to fit the helmet, but now I might use my AoU sculpt instead... I really like the way that looks.

Maybe this weekend I'll finally get the helmet out and do it. I'm sure your pics will come in handy to judge how much to cut away.

Thanks.
I also drilled a hole through the cheek area of the helmet and pegged it onto the headsculpt all the way through with one peg, so it would never come off. Then i attached the wings. You don't *have* to cut as much of the head away as i did. But i knew none of the head with hair would be seen, so i went bananas.

Here's another commission I worked on. This will probably be the last Thor head I do. Hope Winter Soldier turns out as good.

Those look awesome. My only suggestion would be to bring a few strands forward dangling to the sides of his face.

Thanks mate! I love how your Thor turned out with the helmet. I want to do the same but have the real hair underneath?

Well it's a great idea.
I can say that if you want to have the full head under there it will not work(If you want the helmet to be removeable).
But if you want to give the impression of hair underneath(Flowing out from under the helmet), it will work okay. Just dremel off the hair as per normal for the helmet, then add your hair.

I know how to do it. I just lack the helmet to do so.

Did you happen to take a WIP pic of the back of Thor's head? Just wondering how far down I'll have to cut on the hair.

Yeah. Pics below. It's a very fluid process. You remove some, test fit the helmet, remove some more, and so on.
I was putting the helmet up to the side of the head and closing one eye, to try and eyeball how much needed to come off.

Thanks for the pics, I think they'll help with my mod quite a bit.

I think the hardest part will be making that first slice into the sculpt, it's why I've stalled so long in doing it lol.
