Scarlett Gyllenhaall looks good in proto pics, but I haven't seen a male character with rooted hair that looked good that I recall.

I thought it was more Natalie Johansson

Ah gotcha. Would like to see them try rooted for this version since it is so similar to the dark world one. If they fail we can just get the ragnorak version!

Rooted hair on a male figure doesn't make it more of a doll than it already is. My ken dolls as a kid always had sculpted hair lol.

Rooted hair looks fake (I know, I know...). It's always way too shiny and doesn't sit right. It never looks like real hair, I'll always prefer sculpted.

Only two occasions have I seen it look good, that one Winter Soldier custom that no one knows who made, and the hair additions Rahmier puts on the MJ Choi Joker sculpts.

Better look at the magazine scan. Hair is sculpted. The figure looks pretty damn impressive overall. If I didn't know any better I would have mistaken it for a 1/1 statue or a promo shot for the movie.
