I hope I can cancel my pre-order at KG hobbies.Anyone has experience with them?
it says they charge 15% of the item price if I can cancel.Does this mean I get only only get back about 1/4th of my 20% pre-order? (so I lose about 45$)

Also of note, I tried a few different hands and they do not go in well. A lot of the peg holes are misshapen. Does anyone recommend the SS deluxe figure? I am not about 100% accuracy, I want one that is of decent quality and looks well next to HT Anakin or Luke. Should have kept the RO. Vader has too many pieces that can go wrong.
I just cancelled my 1/6 ESB Vader PO. It just seems like a half-hearted attempt to me as HT prepares for ROTJ Vader. I felt much the same way about V2 Vader. I bought it as my first 1/6 Vader and then had to spend another $60+ for V1 shoulder bells and the correct V1 lightsaber. Clearly HT knew better as they got it right the first time.
I'll wait to see how the 1/6 ROTJ Vader looks before pulling the trigger on the 1/4. I'm not keen on entering a new scale after investing so much in 1/6.

The one on the left seems better in scale. How tall is the esb Vader? A little over 13 inches?

I've been trying to keep up with this thread and reading through all these comments. I'm not saying anyone is wrong. And I'm sure there are issues with the figure but I'm just thanking the heavens I don't see the issues or care! [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
I may be biased however since this is the definitive Vader for me. The most iconic scene from the greatest film in the saga! I've been wanting this exact version of Vader (with that base and all) since I started collecting 1:6 over a decade ago. I've bought the first SS version. I bought the Deluxe SS. Then the HT ANH...so this is my 4th 1:6 Vader. And from what I'm seeing it's definitely the best from all those.
Ill likely pick up the ROTJ version too since I'm this far down the rabbit hole (and replace my SS Deluxe) but honestly, no matter how great they make that one this is the one that matters to me.
Should have him (along with ESB Fett) on Monday so I'm very anxious! Can't wait. Impressive. Most impressive!

Holy balls guys, this thread may be a contender for the most nitpicked Hot Toys ever created. Not trying to discredit everyone's opinions, but man, I haven't seen this much criticism for a figure in a long, long time! (in a galaxy far, far away)
Personally, instead of leaving it to the pictures, let's just wait for HD reviews or better yet, on-hand impressions.

That's how the R1 is too.It doesn't actually have a hook for the cape it's actually a bit of rubber on the rubber chain.

Waiting for inevitable ultimate 1/6 ROTJ would be a safe bet at least for me who need at least 2 Vader in collection, or go with that 1/4.

I hope a lot of people cancel. HT can always use a little prodding to get back to working hard, especially on figures they milk and milk to death. I see a lot of laziness on this figure. Like they already know the better one is in the works.
That said, I'm keeping my preorder. I've always preferred ANH... and this ESB figure will prove why.

Personally, if all Vaders were available to me at the same price I'd get the Rogue One version.
But I like my recipe of the Sideshow ROTJ (not the Deluxe) version with a Hot Toys helmet on top. The proportions I think look like David Prowse is in the suit (limb length, musculature and the size of the helmet).

This is the deal breaker video for me. It shows the figure pretty much how it would look on a shelf viewed from a distance. This is a 16:9 video and the figure is in the middle so there shouldn't be too much lens distortions even if the detail is not amazing it just highlights what's wrong with it

I really wish I liked it more because I was psyched for it for a year
And when I bought the Rogue One Vader I did do because I thought the online pics and videos looked pretty darn good and only noticed what bothered me when I got it in hand (which is mainly the dome )
