Yeah, I can't go off of that guy's review mostly because I ended up not caring for the SS rotj Vader when I had it and sold if off. He seems to prefer that one over the HT. I'll make my mind up once it arrives

Me too. I had the SS Deluxe and I sold it too. Too tall, the helmet too small and the arms too thin.
HT ESB is not perfect. But it's definitely much better IMO!

So basically his biggest problem with the figure are the switches? Personally I don't think it's a big problem, as I wouldn't use them that often anyway.

He also complained about the limitations of posing compared to SS, but without showing us where the limitations are?

Well... at least there are some new footages of this Vader

It doesn't actually have a hook for the cape it's actually a bit of rubber on the rubber chain.

Here's anothe BIG issue to me .The dome flare. This is a huge part in getting the "Vader look" right. On the 1:4 (left picture) they got it right and it is slightly curved inwards. On the ESB it is still to straight and "triangular" like the Rogue One/ANH .See what I mean:

Wow.... now that is lazy.

HT must've forgot that detail and added it to the chain as an easy quick fix.

Mask keeps falling off straight out the box. Anyone else get that? Looks like bad glue.

No cloak hook til rotj yes.

To me despite peoples complains this is looking more and more like the Vader I'll stick with, unless the Rotj one is the 1:4 perfectly shrunk

Sloppy with the cloak tho, I'll probably get the Ro one off the bay..

I never noticed any differences in the Vader suits besides for the fact the ANH helmet had a more weathered look. After going through these threads... I'm pretty sure I've ruined myself lol. Luckily I still like the ESB version for what it is, the first Vader in my collection. It will do nicely.

I thought he looked pretty good in the official final product photos, but to be frank, I only watched about 4 minutes of that review and decided that I actually don’t think this looks very good. The shoulder armor looks way too big for the body (maybe it’s just me), the helmet doesn’t look right, the belt doesn’t look right, etc. Perhaps it’ll look better after being properly futzed.

As it stands, I think a futzed v1 or v2 ANH Vader looks a lot better. I have the v1 ANH and granted it has its inaccuracies, but after doing some simple futzing with it, I think it looks pretty bad *** on the shelf without having to get too crazy with the mods. I can look at it and see ANH Vader. I don’t look at this and really see ESB Vader too much.

Yeah he does look better there, sans the too tight of belt. As I mentioned, it could just be a matter of futzing him properly, like a lot of figures. The figure didn't look very impressive in that review though.
