Everyone knows when HT hits it out of the park: Yondu, Sparrow, Mk VI, Star-Lord, Tarkin...

Obviously, for ESB, everyone wanted that for Vader. But clearly, few have that same warm-and-fuzzy feeling about this. It's not a homerun. Could be a double. Which is a bit of a disappointment for Darth Vader.

That said, HT is putting all its 'homerun' skills into the ultimate reveal ROTJ Vader. You just know they are. And its likely going to be a DX. So in a sense, this one is just another 'filler' Vader until then. Another milked Dark Lord. Face it, that's what it is. Buy it, or do not.

100% agree on all counts. Any major character is never going to be perfect, because then how will they sell more Vader’s and Luke’s? They are all good to maybe great figures. However, all have Little imperfections that will drive us crazy and make us spend another boatload of cash a few years later on v2. They can milk us for 2 Vader’s minimum for each movie for the next 10 years. Add a few accessories and tweak the sculpt, and preorder away.
Tarkin was a niche figure that they can’t resell 2 or 3 times and it was fantastic. Esb boba and chewie can be off because they know we will buy it and the v2 in 2020.

Rotj Vader will be awesome, but ultimately missing something. Now, when does it go get announced? I say sdcc 2019.

But they nailed the headsculpt on the 1:4 rotJ. why couldn;t they just use the same sculpt and size it down? You can see the top RotJ everything is perfectly proportioned, the eyes and mouth are the right shape and it really looks like movie Vader... rotJ 1,6.jpgESB 1,6.jpg

probable because it is a larger scale and they have room to work with more then us 1/6 collectors suffer because of size difference.

Well at least I must say they really improved the proportion of the dome compared to the prototype and the rogue One Vader at least .That sticks out from afar under any lighting

I'm just hoping the minute inaccuracies of the facemask (which are less worse than the R1) will not really show under normal house lighting and without pictures to magnify them

Hopefully, the 1/6 ROTJ is just a scaled down version of the 1/4. I will definitely buy that.

This being my one and only Vader the minor inaccuracies don't really bother me. The only way I'll be tempted away from this figure is if the rotj is in fact a dx and they knock it waaay out of the park.

The mask looks good on the box... but why the hell did they superimpose the lights on the belt box so incorrectly? On the box no less. Issues everywhere on this one. :lol

How are the inaccuracies worse than that version?
The more I read comments here, the more this seems like a budget-rotj version unfortunately...
