Here's another proof that sometimes I don't know what Hollywood is thinking:

They could have the AMP suit from Avatar :gah:
They could of done alot of things for avater. At the height of its popularity hot toys kept hyping it up and we only get one figure which was the worst look for the character. It was a damn shame really.

I don't know who gives the final word as to what's scrapped and what makes it to the film. Same with X-men DOFP where some concepts for Quicksilver looked way better than what was used on the film.

It's a good thing that Spidey ended up using the classic tights and none of those new concepts for ASM 2. However, I can't say the same for Rhino. I think these are better:

Here are some more that I personally don't dig as much

The hell is with concept 4?

There are 3 more Avatar movies coming so they will have plenty of time to make figures.

I hope they aren't in 3D, don't get me wrong Avatar 3D was great, but we don't need anymore 3D, its stupid gimmicky crap. They should just focus on getting everything in 4K.... its the future

Don't know where else to put this, but honestly after seeing the film, I'm stoked to get an Electro.:yess:

I love the combination of the Ultimates design, mixed with the electric eel origin and more troubled circumstance from the Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon, the god-like form akin to the final boss version of Electro in the PSX Spider-Man 2 game. Throw in some Spidey fanaticism plus an awesome actor, and the character turned out to be one of my most favorite incarnations of a Spidey villain in recent memory. :thud:

I might be tempted to get an Electro as well, but I'm skeptical that they could do a version that would do him justice. I don't see how they could give his skin that translucent quality that shows all the electric impulses underneath it. But it would be awesome if they could pull it off. BTW, did anyone else think his characteristics/abilities resembled those of Dr. Manhattan in several scenes?

I'm among those who are shocked that they're making this version of Rhino. And after seeing the film, I can't fathom why the filmmakers thought that introducing this chop shop version would make sense. This is suppposed to be the result of Oscorp's secret lab, correct? Surely this should look state-of-the-art like the Goblin's glider, not like half of its parts came from the junkyard! This will be an easy pass for me.

Dr. Manhattan from Watchmen, was he more like a cosmic being who could manipulate matter, I find it hard to imagine Spiderman winning in that fight

I imagine they really didn't use it because it wouldn't have any texture to it

Metal Gear Rhino :lol

He'd looked amazing as a figure.

are you serious? 4k is a joke, it does nothing, even movies that have been shot in 4k have been mastered in 2k because there was no difference in quality between the two. 3D on the other hand, creates a whole different experience, it just depends if you like the experience, I love it and usually always choose to see 3D for the big spectacle films. But I understand for those that don't like it, some people it gives them headaches and there's no getting around that.

I would hope so, he's literally the only one (both figure and character) that I'd be interested in getting a HT figure out of both ASM films so far. :lecture

I've seen folks making similar comparisons but honestly it never really crossed my mind, especially since ASM2's Electro felt like a huge mash-up of all the good things from other versions of the character (again, the bald and blue look from Ultimates comic, the biosuit/eel origin/tragic circumstance from Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon, and the floating energy-construct-body with a god-complex from the Spider-Man 2 PSX video game).
