I was going to buy this one...because the armor was soo damn cool, but NO Tony HS? Easy pass!

You could always just buy a tony sculpt

Will there be a special item with the figure as it's the 300th? They added the key to the MoS figure for it being the 200th.

True but this means even more delay for Force Awakens figures. Need that Kylo Ren.

My most anticipated Hot Toys figure. It sucks it'll probably be Dec. 2016, at the absolute earliest., since you know....only Sith deals in absolutes

I thought part of the price of these figures included the fee Hot Toys had to pay the actor's to use their likeness along with Marvel for licensing. Technically, and obviously I understand that they gouge us a premium since Iron Man is one of the more popular figs/characters - technically this should be cheaper because they're not using RDJ's likeness right? Wishful thinking maybe

I highly doubt licenses are negotiated on a per-figure basis. More likely it's either by film, or just a general "Marvel Cinematic Universe" license with a clause for individual approval on each proposed figure.

As always, the price is dictated mostly by the cost of the tooling involved. The more intricate the sculpt, the more individual pieces they have to cast, and then pay someone to paint and assemble.

For instance, they could keep the Hulk reasonably priced because, despite his mass, the torso can be cast in a single mold, and then painted a single color. Looking at the MK45 Torso, I can see 6-12 individual pieces, and three separate colors which will require masking to paint.

I have no doubt that the price has gone up in part because Hot Toys has created a market for these, and figured out that that market can bear more than they initially were charging. But there are production costs in there too, and people need to be a little more realistic about the hobby they've gotten themselves into

Yeah I want that Batman, I'm probably gonna limit myself to a select few Marvel figures after AOU.... I will probably just get Bats and skip Supes

I'm planning on only getting the Bat depending on how the figure looks... well unless I get 'Supesbuster' then he will need someone to fight.

You know your in for everything Marvel throws at us [emoji14]

As for Star Wars the only figures I would consider are a Scout Trooper and Boba Fett, couple others I have in mind if they are ever released from the original Trilogy but I'm not thinking about those or anything from the new films till I see it.

No metallic paint and using the same as the 43, etc is so bad.

They completely arrived at Fail City with this release. Nothing about this say WOW!, YES! MMS300!!! Complete hype fail.

How can people want Batfleck without Superman? Those 2 are gonna look great on a shelf together

As for the 45, I'm not too keen on the lasers or thrust effects. Thankfully they didn't make the one coming from his reactor, that would have looked awful.

All the AOU line should have diorama bases

Especially considering the price tags. But yeah consistent diorama bases would have made for a great display, even more so for those who are going for the whole set.

So what's the point of the boot jet accessories if it doesn't come with a flight stand??? Anyone? Maybe pose him upside down on his head? I guess Hot Toys just expects the collectors who want a flight pose to BUY an extra dynamic figure stand..
