This Dr Strange is definitely one of Hot Toys' best for 2017. The head sculpt and costuming are fantastic. Still a pain for me to try and get things as symmetrical as I can, but this will have to do before I tear my hair out lol

Here's my look at the Hot Toys Doctor Strange figure. Some things that are frustrating, especially if you have OCD, but overall this is arguably Hot Toys' figure of the year!

I’m still shocked this figure gets so little attention from collectors, even this thread is small like about some random sideshow figure. I think it’s heresy He looks perfect, sadly for me it’s few months of waiting.

Great figure in deed. It may have to do with just how popular the character is. He’s not a Superman, or a Luke Skywalker kind of character. Still a badass in his own right but not a traditionally popular superhero type.

I love the figure. I consider it a staple in my Marvel collection but I’ve only posed it once and left it. Maybe I need to spend some more time with this one.

Late to the party but I finally got my Strange today! Holy ****e ... he is GORGEOUS. I mean, wow. Definitely one hell of a release. I love everything about it, from the box to the cloak to the backdrop. Damn, that's how Hot Toys releases should always be.

Also, great head sculpt.

Well, he's different? eclectic? as main comic book characters go. Even if iconic in the comics. At first I wasn't going to get him. Then the movie comes out and I do some reading and learning about the comic art and then the fig is announced and....

IMO a superb fig. Just so well done at this price point. Roadworn Thor is coming in this week and I was thinkin' about boots - e.g. so Thor's boots have molded plastic wraps. DS has cloth wraps and tassels and not this "plastic stuff". I mean some plastic is used but there's layers of cloth, superb sculpt and paint, that cloak.

He's eye-catching on the shelf too. Now I feel my MCU shelf wouldn't have been complete without this fig. Have the uncomfortable feeling that realistically if you're trying to decide which fig was "better" between my first Thor and DS it's probably DS, coz while Roadworn Thor is great, IMO they could have done a few tweaks like with the Thor boots; used more material vs. plastics here and there.

Just feels like DS is kinda like original WS where a LOT was put into the fig and accessories. Like someone really loved what they were doing who got this fig together. Highest highest recommendation from me - I'd put this in for fig of the year along with CW Ironman.

Anyway I'm gonna try to mod/paint a pair of gloves for DS and get him some more *magical* stuff. I've seen tiny filament LEDs used for Whiplash, playing with something like that might be cool for DS and Scarlet Witch.

Yeah if not it's very close. The quality of the sculpt, the outfit, and the number of accessories make him certainly worth the hype. Great pics.View attachment 372420
