As people have pointed out this could totally have been a DX if they had mixed the two sets and made the eyes movable. It’s that good.
And btw I’m happy to see that they made the cloak on this one the correct length.

This pic highlights another unique aspect of TLJ; the introduction of no new "named" baddie.

SW: Vader, Tarkin, Greedo
ESB: Fett, Veers, Piett, Emperor
ROTJ: Jabba
TPM: Maul, Gunray, Sebulba
AOTC: Jango, Dooku, Poggle the Lesser
ROTS: Grievous
TCW: Asajj Ventress
TFA: Kylo Ren, Hux, Phasma, Snoke
RO: Krennic
Solo: Dryden Vos, Lady Proxima, Enfys Nest, Beckett (kinda sorta on the last two)
TLJ: ?????? Rose? Poe?

I mean, if we are counting Grievous then we can count CAPTAIN CANADY! The most awesome First Order officer.

Holdo, Rose, Big Nose Lady, Mary Poppins, probably Rey, all other women I’m forgetting.

That is a good point/oversight though. It means RJ didn’t focus on the simple things. I would actually say that Star Wars/Empire set up Jabba to be the villain in Jedi. And same goes for Emperor.

Holdo should have been a villain. Would have solved a lot of issues. Her and DJ both being people willing to work for the highest bidder or whatever could have worked.

Holdo 100% unneeded character. Admiral Ackbar could do all the stuff that character did, and ram his ship into Snoke's with the most iconic phrase in the franchise after May the Force be with you.

...but TLJ made Kylo a better villain than most of the PT ones

Nonsense, that pathetic manchild Vader wannabe TLJ Kylo ? Why did he smash his helmet again ?

So, I got this guy recently from Sideshow. Just unboxed him tonight to check him out - make sure all the light up features work and there's no paint/costume flaws or bad joints. Everything seems great, except for one concerning thing. When I was testing out the light up feature on the "lava droid," it did turn on - but after being on for about 30 seconds to a minute, the battery closest to the on/off switch started getting hot. Like, really hot. It got to the point that I was afraid the battery might blow or something. The other two batteries didn't get hot at all. I would be afraid to leave the lights on for more than a minute because of the possibility of damage to the base or worse. I mean I feel like this could be a fire hazard. It's not like I would leave the lights on permanently or anything - but it'd be nice to leave it on for more than 1 minute. Has anyone else noticed this? I would recommend checking it. I'm curious if it's a common problem or if it's just mine.

EDIT: Ok, I did a little bit of online research, and I think I figured out the problem. I'm no electrical engineer (ironically enough, I am a mechanical engineer though) but what I discovered is that somehow the positive and negative sides are FLIPPED on that terminal. So I flipped just that battery around (so the positive side was up against the spring and not the negative side) and it still turned on fine and none of the batteries were getting hot. I would HIGHLY suggest that anyone planning to use the light up feature on this base to check for this and make sure you don't have the same problem. Otherwise, the circuits inside the base could get fried and if that happens the lights will completely stop working forever. Seems very strange that this happened, but it seems to be the case. Great quality control, huh?

Doesn’t sound good... could definitely be a fire hazard. Haven’t checked mine, but I’ll probably not use the light up feature anyways.

Getting mine tomorrow, shop I ordered him from called me today. Can’t wait to pick him up and for Obi Wan to be released.

Exchange that for sure.

I think I found the problem. I edited my original post, but I'll post it again here:

Is the correct way indicated in any way? I mean, is the spring just attaches wrong or is it the circuits inside the base that are wrong?

Yeah, like a lot of devices it has the silhouette of the battery molded into the plastic along with the "plus" and "minus" symbols. When I followed those, that one battery got hot. When I flipped that battery around, it didn't get hot anymore. So now, two side-by-side batteries are facing the same direction and the last one is facing the opposite direction.

Hmm so it must be the wires inside. Interested to hear if anyone else has this problem. Thanks for the response.
