I think the likeness is pretty uncanny. I'm sure one of our Photoshop whizzes on here could draw up some guidelines to see whether there are any small differences.


Also, my friend has a cat who he says also looks like Tom Cruise.

I don't see the resemblance, frankly. I think he's just jealous of my "Tom cat".

Looks good. Open eyes look to aware. Great for those "Yoda you seek Yoda" scenes. But everyday Yoda eyes are much more relaxed! Like the closed eyes great scene capture but not sure if I would display that way. Great "little" figure HT!!

It's not as Muppety as I'd like but l really dig it. It's a pretty damn good likeness and beats anything SSC has done. I LOVE the closed eyed sculpt. The best Yoda so far? I think probably, yeah. Of course it'll be $230.lol

I still think the SS Yoda looks good, but not THIS good. I think rather then sell my SS Yoda, I'll keep him in his hut while I display this one on his base seperatly. Next to the upcoming SS Luke snowspeeder will look good. Now we just need a good Bespin/Degobah Luke.

I just noticed the "floating" rocks. Yeah, I really like this release. Hot Toys did a fairly excellent job with this SW release. A little weathering and a few hairs added to the sides of his head and this thing will rock.

Awesome that they included the two sculpts. There are definitely things to nitpick--green color is probably a touch bright, expression on the open eye sculpt probably isn't perfect, no PERS or rooted whispy hair (obviously a safer bet without either of those), but I'm just thrilled with what I see. Really like the environment base. Can't wait to see when this ships and to add this to my collection.

I'd like to see someone pull this off in the custom world first, before I believe it can be done. I just don't see someone gluing on a few hairs, without seeing clumps of glue everywhere.

For now, I think you're asking for the impossible.
