1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Star Wars: Episode V ESB - Yoda Collectible Figure

it's a letdown for me.

Sculpt looks... not so far from Sideshow's.

Sculpted hair, better said, not using rooted hair, is a miss with this figure at this day and age..i but t's an easy mod if the sculpted hair is not too noticeable.

Skin tone looks good, the accessories look good... but I may not buy this, may stick with my SSC kitbash and get parts I like at TA.

YES! these are key issues as far as this figure goes. Colour, puppet-like feel...

For me, also key are:

- getting 2 headsculpts, one with the eyes closed, one with eyes open.
- good eyes!! puppet-like, again.
- need rooted hair on this one. For sure. It's the easiest figure in the world to use rooted hair in.

I love my kitbash Sideshow Yoda, with custom hair. But it wasn't expensive and if this one works out well, I will update!

this figure will improve a lot once we mod it with some white wool hair.

It ticks on all the checks, yet I am not impressed.

It's pessimism like this that is killing the hobby.

Actually I take it back....it's this kind of pessimism that is just poisoning the community. I'm going to enjoy this release regardless of other people's expectations.

I think it looks great. Hair or no hair I would buy this if I wanted a Yoda. I'm stickning to OT Imperials and Bounty Hunter though.

These things are ****ing expensive. I expect a lot out of them, I'm sorry.

I think the expression is off like Lejuan said and I think it looks weird with the sculpted hair.

Two nice heads, cool diorama parts. Nicely worn robe.

Looks like a home run.

I can only at the Naysayers on this one.

There is a fine line between a look of a high end collectable and a toy action figure. Some HT figures look fabulous but because of their subject matter still come across like toys (ie Stormtroopers / Ultron). Remember this guy is going to be very tiny. Having said without the realism of rooted hair it might come across as a toy!

I have yet to see a custom Yoda with rooted hair that looks good so I'm all for the way they did it. It's way too fine and thin to make a good translation from 1:1 to 1:6 anyways.

Second best HT SW release for me. Color looks great. Base looks great. Two sculpts = Pure Awesomeness.

Dude, the guy doesn't like it. So what.lol He didn't even say anything outlandish. He just said he wasn't impressed with it. That's "pessimism" and "poisoning the community". ****ing hell, man.lol




I'm actually surprised how much I like it. I wasn't expecting much. While the SSC Yoda looks like fun figures they don't look much like him, imo. I think this one is pretty good.
