Should've put him on a bigger body to make him worth the money...

That would've put him at $400.

It's possible they'll tweak the sculpt.

Right now it's the same old Hot Toys game: it's the best quality and slickest 1/6 Yoda figure, but it has issues that divide more forgiving consumers from the sticklers and the nitpickers.

How serious those issues are perceived to be depends on what you expect for your $200USD or whatever it is.

You can make objective, geometric comparisons or appeal to the "vibe" and strength of the artistic interpretation, but I don't think anyone is going to convince anyone on the wrong side of their point of view.

HT CAN, get a sculpt perfect, and we know that. That's part of the critique on a 200 dollar purchase. It was really hard to complain about Jack Sparrow, Joker , and recently Leia. We KNOW they can nail it....so it is disappointing to collectors when the obviously miss the mark on an iconic character.

Yeah, we've seen what HT are capable of. We can expect more of them. People shouldn't accept "at least it's better than sideshow's" while paying $200 for a figure.

I showed one of the promo pictures to my wife who doesn't give a hoot about Star Wars, and she immediately said he looks fat. It's obvious and needs to be fixed to fit in this line of figures.

I know many complain the price is steep and I think so too... but if I look from a different angle, hot toys has to spend their money on brand new body, head sculpt, clothes and accessories... regardless what size of the body is, the cost of R&D, and manufacturing molds are the same, but the raw materials might be a bit cheaper... but the cruel oil is cheap now so not much different there either.

There is a HUGE difference between sharing opinions, comments, and constructive criticism about a figure and just being a HT hater or a HT fanboy.

I have an alternate suggestion; how about a sub-forum for all the negatrons where they can share pics of how every HT figure looks like Tom Cruise and then congratulate each other for pre-canceling HT figures.

Probably because it's a forum. So everyone can comment on stuff, whether they like it or not, think it's good or not, or are buying it or not.

It's kind of like people giving their open and honest opinions, feedback, comments and constructive criticisms. Spooky.

Perhaps it's time we opened a new sub forum for members who can't tolerate negative comments and have a general place to praise and lap up any release HT give us. I dunno. Just an idea.

I have every intention of ordering.... but will wait for the coupon as long as I have to pay an NRD.

I actually thought this would be $209.99 at least so the lower price is welcome. A completely unique body has its price. This is still a better overall deal than Leia.

Doing the same. After they almost charging for that nrd that wasnt there I had to cancel it. Now we play the waiting game.

I just want a little black traditional stand however , I don't care much for the diorama ....its just not what I need for my display
I honestly think that the black oval stands are being phased out by Hot Toys. Almost every release they do has a diorama or unique base now. The diorama type bases are bigger but do look better to me.
