While I don't think the price is outrageous, HT could've/should've done a better job with those feet. Maybe HT addresses it, maybe not. But at the moment, he looks like some dude getting ready to watch the Super Bowl. Not like this.

You know what they should have done? Add magnets to his arm and to the bottom of his feet. Then, add magnets to the arm rest and foot rest. That way, if you want to display him on the throne it will really look like the parts are floating, as in the picture you posted. The base of the main throne would have to be bigger or reinforced but it would look WAAAAAY better in my opinion. Come to think of it, I'm surprised HT didn't go with that option from the start.

Genius idea! So simple but it would have looked so good.

Actually we can just ask the personnel at secret base
if the Thanos feet can lay flat on the base. The staff
there are usually quite informative and willing to help.
if they say no, don't know or anything else instead of a
yes, then we shall know.
I will go up to secret base and ask If I have spare time
after work sometime next week.

Sounds good... Thanks dude

And until the issue becomes moot, people have a reason to worry about HT rubber. The quality is mostly crap.

Just looking at that picture, I'm realizing How inaccurate the HT throne is :ohbfrank:

Proportion wise the figures not very accurate, but then HT figures never are proportionally accurate really.

Some standouts; Hulk, IM armours, TDKR Batman, Bane, etc. etc.

I agree. This figure looks great but there are a lot of inaccuracies. The throne is definitely off in size and shape. I know a lot of you collectors and fans really want this guy (as do I), but your all sending messages to Hot Toys that your willing to buy it even if it isn't all that great or accurate. I'm so tired when I hear people defending bad super hero movies with logic like "it's better than nothing, or they'll stop making them if we don't pay to see it and a crappy movie is better than nothing!!" A hole in your collection is not the end of the world. It's getting out of hand to pay these prices for a version that's just ok. What's the point of a throne if he can't even sit on it properly. Could you imagine if Hot Toys made any of the Batmobiles or Batpod and Batman didn't fit in/on them?? Then how would these same fans defend Hot Toys? "Man he'll look awesome standing next it, who cares if he doesn't fit in it cause then you won't see Batman if he's in it anyway!!" :slap The only way to show your disapproval and make Hot Toys realize they have to do better is to not buy. "But if we don't buy it they'll stop making them!!" :gah: :rotfl Now before I get flogged, I'm not complaining about any ones opinions and saying mine is right, but mediocrity begets mediocrity. I'm happy for all of you who like it and have the money to buy it, but I think Hot Toys needs to improve. Their QC has gone to **** and they keep going because people are still throwing their money at them. Same problem today in the video game market. We keep getting incomplete/unfinished/unpolished games shipped on launch dates to be later fixed with patches..... Why are we accepting of this? Ok, flame away!!! :wink1:

I would say with this figure there haven't been many people defending him at all. If you read through the post history I bet it's like 85% negative with a whole lot of people saying they won't buy.

When it first came up everyone was all in with him.

I haven't bothered defending him. All I care about is that I'm buying him.
No point defending him, everyone is nit picking every little thing.

Yeah, Iv'e read every page from the beginning of the post when it started. I do agree not too much complaining compared to a lot of other threads. I was just ranting.... :)

Exactly, Ive put my money down and I'm 100% getting him.

However, I will point out flaws and inaccuracies cause that's part of the fun.

But with that said, to me this isn't meant to represent the movie Thanos 100%, it's more to represent my favourite character so the inaccuracies to the movie and the more slender design of the figure compared to the movie are bonuses for me.

It will be the same when Ultron comes around, although for him I want the Drone to be made from the first EW cover.

Slender compared to the movie? He didn't have Hulk's muscle mass but I sure wouldn't call him slender. Broad shoulders and thick arms. I'd say the figure matches his build.

Not sure about the inaccuracies, but funnily enough I'm sort of the same and I can definitely understand that reasoning especially since this is Thanos' first high-end 1/6 figure.

In my case, since I already have a decent figure collection of some of Ultron's more classic style, I've always wanted a figure of Ultron's modern designs; both his robot and human form from Annihilation: Conquest specifically. With the movie's final form essentially being a mashup of those two, it's the biggest reason why I'm so excited that HT is making a figure of him at all.
