He should make his throne in a strip club.

Just sayin'.

What else does he do all day now? He doesn't even have The Other to talk to since Ronan snapped his neck.

^ This man speaks the truth! :lecture

I think people are misinterpreting the problem with the sitting pose, it's not the feet that are the problem its the knee bend. It obstructs itself preventing a 90 degree bend

Really? thats kinda crappy

I think so, the feet have nothing to do with his seating position. His shins should be at 90 degrees to his thighs roughly and their not, extra feet swivel to make them flat wont fix that.

Instead the knee joint needs to be bent more, but this doesn't look possible to me due to the joint type. If I could photoshop I would but I can so I'll try to explain.

As seen in the picture below the joint has 2 pivot points, but as they pivot to bend the knee the bottom corners of the joint come closer together and obstruct a 90 degree bend from being possible, it's a very common issue with action figures, but they never need to be seated really.

This if correct is a big design flaw and just plain lazy cause it's very easy to use another joint or even a slight design variation on this one to give the full 90 degree bend.

Yes, I agree, it isn't the foots problem but the knees. The knees can't bend more than what is shown. The picture you provided clearly shows it too. If you look behind his knees on the picture, the Grey armor behind his knees is touching the other side, preventing it to bend more

I see what you mean now. It almost looks like he SHOULD be able to bend the knees down a little further though, so either it's really a limitation in the joints or a problem with how they leveled the foot-rest of the throne.

the throne itself looks weak compared to the movie version... I would remove the plastic connecting the foot stool to the chair and maybe find a different way to have them floating. I'm probably going to open and display my gotg figures so I want them to at least look good displayed

Do we actually know if his tunic is made of rubber or some sort of soft plastic?

Nobody knows yet, of course. That why most people who stated the POSSIBLE ISSUE rising from prolonged sitting on the throne used words like "COULD" and "MIGHT".

It's all speculation, but is a valid concern given HT's track record with the materials they use. It's like a roulette which one gets something that woud last and something that would not.

Maybe we should start 2 threads for each release next time: 1 thread for the ever-thankful HT fans so they could all be happy and merry to whatever HT offers them and 1 for the critiques. People only listen to what they want to hear anyway.

I can see why people don't like the feet, especially for the price tag. For me though, I think the face sculpt is nothing short of amazing. The whole thing is crazy awesome. But yeah, the recliner look is a little bit of a head scratcher, when you know that they can put that much detail into something, but don't execute the bigger things.

To me tt looks like it's the armor behind the knee that's causing that awkward foot angle while he's sitting. "Looks like". Until we get another view all we can do is speculate what is causing that. Personally, that's not a deal breaker for me. Would an exceptionally pliable ankle joint solve this issue?

Nope, no infinity gauntlet.

Well that look you asked for is already here. Has been since they announced it. In fact scroll up to two or three posts right above yours and there it is. There is nothing behind the knee causing issue. There's nothing wrong with the feet either. Anatomically, given the way he is seated in the photo, and the way the throne is designed, his feet are exactly like they would be on anyone or anything that has the same ankle joints as a human. Try it yourself. This is an experiment you can try at home (I'm watching mythbusters). U need a recliner and a butt and a set of knees, legs and ankles. Mimic the sitting position the photo represents and you will see that your feet point up just like his. To get the feet flat you would need to add 30-40 degrees of movement to the ankles, more then is normal. Doing so would compromise the ankles. They would not be as able to hold up a figure.

If you have issue then it should be with the way the foot stool is positioned. If the chair back where a few degrees closer to 90, and the foot stool at about the same, and pulled closer to the chair/throne, then the right angle bend of his knees would allow the feet to be flat. But if your knee is not at or very close to a complete right angle/90 degree bend yours, and his, feet will not be flat naturally. Up to a point you can move them to get them flat by "pushing the gas peddle" motion, and holding it. But who is going to sit in there throne and do that? It would be unnatural if in that pose his feet where flat.
