The thing about waiting for the next movie is like, what if you hate the next costume and cause you waited, missed out on a release you did like. In my case, I liked the Winter Soldier costume for Black Widow and pre ordered that, but was eager to see what the next one was, which was AOU which I completely hate. I don't think it's a bad thing to wait but it's also not a bad thing to get the current iteration of a character.

This is exactly it, of course if you really don't like it you shouldn't settle (no Widow, Hawkeye, Cap etc is better than one you don't like just to have one in my book) but if you like a figure and can afford it in my opinion you should get it and not wait on ifs and buts...

At the end of the day if something comes along later you like more you either end up with two or you sell the older less preferred version for the current going rate.

Yeah, pretty much. I am more than happy with my decision to get WS Widow. I'm happy I got Hawkeye when I did. and I sold it to make money to afford the newer Hawkeye which already looks fantastic from the teaser.

That being said, I'm excited as hell to get AOU and really can't wait to see what the Civil War costume looks like.

Although i personally don't agree with it(I *really* buy what i want to keep, and never buy a figure intending to sell it unless it's a double), but regardless of my own preferences, i once read a post on a UK 1/6 collectors facebook page where a guy said he buys as many HT figures as he can afford, even if it seems like he's over extending himself.
He figured that, even if all he does is take them out the box and pose them, take pics and put them back in the box, as long as the figure is new enough(Not everyone has theirs), he will *always* be able to punt it on, even at a minimal loss(Lets say $30), so all it will have cost him is $30 to buy the figure, handle it, get cool pics, and sell it on. Kind of like renting it.
It can go either way if you keep it for a year(For every MKVII, there's the Crow, Joe Colton and Tonto), but in general you should make back what you spent on it.

Nice one to start with. This one looks to be the best Cap so far. (debatable). but it looks like Evans the most in both face and body.

Why, what's so hard to believe? The AoU Cap is going to be THE Cap in my collection and the Hulkbuster will be the next IM armor to grace my shelves...oh wait, I just purchased an Iron Patriot...never mind, I get your point!

It's not automatic, it's usually around two months but this might not be eligible until next month or maybe they will keeep the AoU figs of the coupon list until after the movie is out.

I think the 1:1 bust is just for a convention display. Given the relationship between SSC and HT, I doubt SSC would want HT encroaching on its full scale bust business.

SSC doesn't own the sole rights to life size busts does it? Wouldn't be any different from the 1/6 scale figures, HT does movies and SSC does their own comic inspired versions.

Thats what I think as well..... or it could be a reference thing of some sort or its easier to sculpt a full head to get good detail so they made for 3d scanning or something

I would think for 3D scanning they would actually use Chris Evans. Nothing is more accurate than the real deal. No telling for sure at this point but I think they might be venturing into props or full scale busts. I don't think anyone else does 1:1 movie busts so that would make sense

Think I'm going to go ahead and get this as my first Cap. Love the stealth suit but just really want a red white and blue Captain America.

Probably no way to find out if they fixed the issues a lot of people had with the WS version until this comes out huh?

I hope they do fix it but we will not know until someone gets one in hand. It could be better or it could be worse hard to tell with HT.

This is my ft first cap as well. I didn't like the first avengers suit but I love the strike suit. I almost pulled the trigger On the strike suit but then I saw the on set photos of Evans in the new movie, this was the one I want.
