No EX again... I'm starting to think the Mark 43 will be the only one to receive the EX treatment.

Out of curiosity what did you want as an EX? I have seen a couple of people mention this as an issue but I don't understand why people are so desperate for one?

I like exclusives because it is just an extra free item. Sometimes they are awesome, sometimes not so much. Either way, just nice to get something extra.

I have to pass on SS exclusives because I don't usually buy from them(Im in CA and don't want to pay sales tax). It hasn't been a big deal for me not having the EX of anything.

I guess there is that... I guess it is different for me (and possibly others) who are not from the US, the increased costs of shipping and import tax (country dependant) on these makes me at least shop around for where I pick what up from so exclusives only matter if it is something worth having as the none exclusive for some figures can be had locally cheaper. I know for the Mark 43 I think the additional light-up head is worth it (will be even more so if it can be mounted to the figure) where as the Arc Reactor with the Mark 3 isn't and I kinda wish I had picked mine up cheaper from Collectables Direct or ToyHQ (now if the EX had not had the movie logo printed on it and it was screen accurate then I would possibly think differently) but at least if for some reason years from now I decide to sell it might make my figure worth more to someone wanting to add it to his or her collection, but Im not in the slightest considering selling as it looks bad ass!

:exactly: An exclusive can cost $30-40 extra. And even without the tax, SS starting price is always more expensive than other sites ( I know they're a distributor and every site gets their product from SS) But they're still more expensive, sometimes by $20. Then they want you pay extra for packing. I feel everything should be included in the standard release. And certain parts of the product shouldn't be exclusive, like the Infinity Orb with Star-Lord. Such a major part of the story, and a tiny piece of plastic they want you to pay almost 50 bucks for! Or Jango Fett's head? (yes I'm still upset about this) There really should be some sort of established protocol on what qualifies for an exclusive. Some parts are essential to the core product. Like for example: the guys head. Everyone knows it should've been the poncho, he doesn't even wear the damn thing in the movie (in the theatrical release) :slap

When it's someone else's product your only recourse is to not buy it. Companies are entitled to make whatever they want any way they want. May not be the best ideas, but it's their money.

Sideshow charges more then most becuase they pay the import costs. As for packaging..mine always come packaged. The brown shipper some people collect is sideshows shipping container. No extra charge.

but ....but i like Jango :(

HT isn't Sideshow though. Their production pieces may not be painted exactly to the standard of the prototype, however they are pretty darn close.
SSC on the other hand have big issues, not only with the eyes, but also the realism of skin tone and texture.

I don't really have any concerns myself over paint quality with HT.

This exactly. Every time I buy a PF, I'm always worried as to how it turns out to a slightly high degree due to their bad quality control but luckily all my PF's have turned out pretty awesome, the best being Wonder Woman by far, then Harley Quinn, then Catwoman and Poison Ivy with slightly wonky eyes. Slightly.

The only thing I really worry about when it comes to prototypes and production pieces with HT is the sculpts changing ever so slightly or tweaks to materials which are mostly a light concern.
