Wow, this looks far better than I was honestly expecting. It's giving me higher hopes for Leia.

A funny thing is that I'm seeing a great deal of bagging on the 7 or so year old $75 Sideshow Luke, but no one's mentioning the more recent $300 monstrosity

Well... we'll see. McFly was a same day, or at least less than a few days irrc. Star-Lord was quick as well, but I think he's come back to being off the waitlist, or at least there were a number of conversions.

If they follow the same plan with Luke I'd expect a quick sell out of the exclusive... and if there is an NRD then it's more likely people will keep the orders.

So the prop was different, who cares? The point is, Luke had one hilt. It was his fathers and there was no backup.

It's a pretty significant difference and so far all of the high end Luke's have had correctish hilts. I expect the same here... and my guess is things are not finalized.

Strange because when I saw the prototype at Celebration they eyes were that abs crap.

Not sure what you saw at CVII... but pretty sure it was the head that's been posted above. ANd if it did have the separate eyes, they were done very well... not like the production figures.

And at least according to Mike, Red5 won't have them because they were switching factories and the process wasn't set up at the new place for them. So they will likely return (hopefully better) but at least at the time of CVII they were not going to be used for Luke.

Got a lot of catching up to do, but at first glance this HT Luke is most impressive!

Really like that one close-up of the face, looks real. And I simply HAVE TO HAVE the ST belt with grappling hook. That's the one extra I really wanted.

It doesn't matter, I won't be eating any of them. HT won't make fewer Larry Skywalkers than Hank Solos, and that bad-boy is still available in his exclusive variation.

I was just curious, trying to picture you in a fez.

Seriouly though, the face is glammed again but I think its very close. Certainly in hand, when the sculpt is the size of your thumb, it will look like Mark Hammill.

My thumb is definitely a better likeness to Ford than HT's Hank Solo, but this Luke is at the very least, better than their Bespin version.

In the winter I wear one of a couple of Eisbar ski hats. In the other months I may wear a light (dryfit usually) baseball-like cap if I'm hanging around outside.
