So to be clear, the lightsaber is removable from the alternate arm, correct? I'm thinking of getting this figure but I'd want to pose the saber with Rey :lol Don't care if it wouldn't light up.

Got mine on Wednesday. Love it. It's the best 1/6 Luke sculpt to date.

Zero complaints.

Got mine yesterday, just popped him open an hour or so ago. And also have no complaints whatsoever, excellent figure in hand, and the hair has a nice gold blonde sheen in the correct light. Too me it is the best sculpt out to date hands down, and all the extras are just icing. Love the light saber when lit as well, has a real nice true royal blue color to it. He looks great IMO, and even better w/ Han & Chewie!

He comes w/ a separate complete lightsaber hilt/blade together in one piece, that you have to pull apart; the light up hilt is perm. attached to the extra forearm/batt. pack itself.

FYI: I had a HELL of a time getting the saber out of the secondary hilt as shipped, I pulled, and pulled, twisted L & R and for awhile I thought it was accidentally glued in. Finally, I tried again with a slight twist, and pull and it came out.

Luke is here. Great figure. Here are some unfutzed, bad cells phone pictures. :)

I hope mine looks as good as your "bad" pics show.:lol

We look at things very differently. My childhood dream was realized with Kenner's 12" Luke Skywalker (which I still own and have proudly displayed). This is an adult collectible and as such, falls short of the mark I expect from these products. I have plenty of other HT figures that I'm perfectly happy with displaying right out of the box. This is also Star Wars, the license in which I'm most invested, so the requirements are up a few notches.

2016 is going to be a year of predominantly bashes and customs for me - I've got my eye on a few announced figures I plan to keep stock, but very very few.

Just broke my vintage Kenner 12" Fett out of storage, and on display it is an awesome figure that in some ways captures Fett better than a photorealistic 1/6 figure can. It helps that it's more posable than any other vintage 12" fig.

My saber is suffering from staying lit after the switch is turned off. Contacting Sideshow for replacement. Didn't start until today and i tried to remove batteries and see if it was the connectors. Still stayed on after adjusting the batteries.

He comes with a loose hilt that you can put the blade into.

Ahh ok. Thanks guys!

That sucks man. I really wish you could enjoy these as much as I do. I hope that someday you will have the Collectables you're looking for. As for me these are it. I enjoy your insight and value your opinion even if we differ.

Part of the enjoyment of these figures is to be able to come to these threads and geek out together on how awesome they are. Just be careful not to tread all over someone else's enjoyment while you voice your opinion. Not saying you did can't wait to see what qualifies as pixel approved. Post pics when you have your figs put together. In the meantime I'd be happy to take some of these parts off your hands.

Yes, I agree with this. Nothing at all wrong with having high standards, and I too hope you get the figures you want and that you can enjoy. Personally I can see Luke isn't perfect, but he's good enough for me to enjoy now.

image.jpegI consider myself to be quite picky when it comes to accuracy and I'm pretty satisfied with this figure fresh out of the box.

Oh, don't get me wrong, there are plenty of figures I enjoy the hell out of right out of the box (too many to list in fact) - it's just that I've been at SW for a long time and have 12" toys going back almost 40 years. I'm more forgiving on certain figures where small details are lost in the overall presentation. Chewbacca can be futzed to look great, the Stormtrooper inaccuracies don't really bother me (and I have 3 HT), Tama 3PO's oddities don't take away from how great the figure looks overall. Then there are those to make small tweaks to like SSC's R2, slightly more tweaking like body swapping on the Hoth figures and armor shaping on their 2009 troopers, repaints like SSC's Obi-Wan, bigger mods like with SSC's Vader and then big swaps and custom paint jobs like with HT's Han and Luke.

The customizing is also a fun part of the hobby for me, even though I don't spend as much time on it as I wish I could.

Nics pics everyone!

I have mine on PO from SSC, and it's not due for me until the end of January. However, if he's in stock before then, it's possible I may call and just have them deduct the remaining amount so I can get him.

I want to do it. I'm from Spain and I didn't know that I should wait until end of payment plan (march!!!). I don't understand it. Who wants to pay "month by month" before to have the figure??? No sense for me. I want to pay the amount now. I have sent an email to Sideshow asking for it.

Sorry if my english is bad.

I got mine from SSC on December 24th. I thought all the pre-orders were filled already.
