This is an amazing figure. Just got him today and it's an eye pleaser. Also, been collecting 1/6 since October and that's my collection so far. It's addicting.

Nice shots! Looking forward to getting mine.

Excellent pose on Vader, by the way.

Still new here, but I think I've learned a lesson today. I have to accept that the post memory for us is about one maybe two pages at best. Since no one really has time to go back dozens of pages to get up to speed on the current state of the discussion, we wind up bringing up, discussing, concluding, and then arguing the same things over and over, particularly when new posters come on from other threads.

A few pages ago, we were all cheering based on the pics of Para And QGF, and a few others that the figure was great and that the head sculpt was actually really close to the prototype, and now we're back to not seeing a significant upgrade from The SS figure to Hot Toys. I think I'm dizzy.

The sculpt on the SS one almost resembles more that of Kevin Bacon, in that image at least.

Great images, KD! Nice SW set-up.

It does and w/ many SS looks like he has 5 layers of pancake on. The sculpts on some SS are really good(MOS Supes) but the paint just looks so putty like/ fake looking. I have seen some repainted MOS and the really bring out the sculpt, same could be for the SW SS line, just better paint!

Also like your pics KD, he is so good in hand. Nice mixed media set up too!

I think very few have that view after seeing him in person. He is one to get, don't let negs of a couple to stop you from getting him. If nothing else, if you don't like him in hand, you can always re-sell. It's a pretty major upgrade IMO.

Oh, you mean the MOS PF:

(You asked for it)

At first I thought you meant a MOS 1/6 figure from SS that I somehow missed.

This is true.

Some of these threads (not necessarily limited to just the SW section) are so active, they can produce several pages of banter in one day. I don't necessarily log in each single day, so you can miss a lot of what was said over the course of simply one day. When I post to a thread, it generally just tends to be regarding what the current discussion is/seems to be without being privy to if it was already discussed before.

Although having just said the above, I was about ready to pull my hair out on the Han thread when we went ten pages on the "Harrison destroys HT figure" video only to have someone post a "hey have you seen this!" Link to the same video a page later :slap :lol.

I got over it though... 'cause I'm a great person. :)

Small price to pay, I suppose, to be able to have a place to geek out with friends...

Indeed.

I never saw this. So here we go talking about it again. :lol

Did he intentionally destroy it, or was it an accident? Kind of like the way he accidentally destroyed Boba Fett?

Hey, there's no beak in that clip:wink1:

I'm very very Angry... I asked Sideshow Toys about to cancel my Flexpay plan december 29, and I'm still without news from them. :panic::monkey4

I was a bit surprised last night when I saw how GOLD his hair was. I popped off a few pics with hard flash and no futzing. I find these HT figures tough to photograph. They look better in person. Very happy with him.

Took at quick shot of him this morning.

This luke is an outstanding 1/6 representation of Mark Hamill. It has exceeded all my expectations and it's an amazing, well articulated body. The lightsaber is the best piece in this whole set and very well made by HT. Why and how this exclusive hasn't sold out by now when he's the most important character in part 4,5,6, is very peculiar. You get a lot of stuff here for the money. You can't go wrong with this figure if he's the only 1 you buy.

This set is great. So many accessories and display options, it's overwhelming! I kind of don't like the material used for his top, feels like a cheaper paper-y material to me and it's a little difficult to get to hang right on the body, but it's a minor quibble.

Agreed. It was a pleasant surprise for me. Feels like someone ordered a last minute gold wash on the hair in response to widespread comments about it being too dark. While they can't re-tool the factory after its rolling to make changes, my guess is that this change was relatively easy to implement at the 11th hour... Just a theory.

I concur. I get mine at the latter part of this month, but I really like that he comes with a myriad of accessories. One of the most I've seen a HT figure come with.
