you guys are being to harsh on jnix`s work I think we need to drop it.

As long as people are being courteous and measured in their comments then I don't see why they shouldn't say what they see.

I love Jnix's work but this one went wrong somehow. To me I can almost see Zachary Quinto in the face and eyes. But Jnix is a special talent and an absolutely exemplary seller to deal with.

Just wanted to mention that I don't have this in hand so quite possibly my opinion would be different if I did.

EDIT: and while it may not capture Hamill's features for me it still displays Jnix's talent at sculpting and painting human faces.

Nice pics. While the eyes on the Jnix head are still reminiscent of the eyes on the Sideshow Luke/Han Hoth figs (somehow odd looking, but hard to say exactly why,) these pics show that at a quick glance and from several angles the Jnix sculpt has a bit more MH than the HT to me.

While it's far from a bullseye, it's also nice to see a Luke that doesn't have the slight "mushroom" proportions that the HT head has - with the oversized hair and smaller face/eyes.

The shininess that shows up in pics of Jnix's paint-ups really isn't noticeable in hand (it's a weird how it looks glossy/sweaty in pics yet isn't at all) but I do think Jnix put too much "five o'clock shadow" stubble color for Luke. Zachary Quinto has the five o'clock shadow as a constant part of his look - maybe that's what Tom Day is seeing.

I think both sculpts have their problems, but for now I'm perfectly happy with the HT sculpt.
What I really can't stand though, is the huge neck... I wish there was a replacement for that body.

HT sculpt is a better looking Luke, maybe more attractive than Mark ever was lol. The Jnix sculpt makes him look less attractive I think.

The HT Luke body/neck is one of the most restrictive in terms of head poses I've ever encountered. They may has well have just given him a swivel neck. Not sure what the issue is - I have other figs that are similar set-ups and they have normal articulation. Maybe it's his long 70's hair at the back that restricts it.

Bullseye. That's what I think I've been seeing but unable to identify. The open mouth pursed lips look is really Quinto, and it doesn't really fit Luke. And that may be the story of this sculpt. There's a nice helping of Hamill in there, but there are also a lot of facial queues in the expression that are so distinctly NOT Hamill that it's hard to reconcile an accurate likeness... If that makes any sense at all.

Thought I'd try a side-by-side comparison of the 2 heads, with Hamill in SW.

HT failed in the eyes, and the mouth is a bit wrong (on both). The shape of the face is actually good on it, I think.

There's something in Jnix's that throws it off a bit. Like the nose/mouth area too far forward, or the cheeks aren't full enough.

I still see more Hamill in Jnix's sculpt, and will be the one I display.

The eyes on the HT sculpt are debatable in my opinion, depending on the scene.

For instance, as I've stated before in the thread, the HT sculpt kind of reminds me of this scene:

Eyes and the way his bangs fall over his forehead.

I've been wondering what body I could use to swap, it seems to me that it's just the thickness of the neck that needs fixing.

I have a spare HT slim narrow that I'm going to try using along with the flesh neck from a Luke Stormtrooper body I just got (though not sure if the black stormie neck brace is glued to the flesh neck.) The issue is that tunic's v-neck - it probably goes down too far and will likely reveal the bottom of the neck. So many of the necked bodies are too muscular for Luke.

The eyes are set too deep. I brought it up on the thread but there was a lot of noise going on so I didn't push it. That's my real gripe with it but I don't have mine in hand yet, just going by pics.

That's what I was thinking as well after seeing side views of it.

I'm bummed that Jnix's Luke didn't quite measure up to the greatness of his Han. Still nice work and a lot to appreciate, but not nailed like Han. Hopefully his ben will be great.

What? Wait? He's doing a Ben?

Is there a link yet?

EDIT: Found it!
