I bought a Luke Stormie body to put a Jnix Luke head on, but couldn't get myself across the line with buying the head. I like it, but I never see pics where I love it like I love the Jnix Han.

Understood and agree....but it looks great on display if lit thoughtfully. MUCH better than Tom Cruise.

If I have a reservation about the sculpt (and this holds for most if not all custom sculpts) its that these ANH figures belong side by side with each other. The finish of the original HT sculpt is very consistent and excellent (likeness notwithstanding). They look superb together. Throw in the custom sculpt, and the difference is apparent, from eye treatment to skin texture. That can be an issue. But one which can be overcome largely with your lighting choices.

The exception to this is Jnix Han. It has some of the same finish differences as Luke and other customs, but the accuracy of likeness is as loud as a freight train crash at a nuclear power plant. As a sculpt its quite simply undeniable. Works in every situation at every angle...

Yeah that's the one issue I've seen as well. Even with the best paintjob, the Jnix Han still has a rougher appearance to it and doesn't seem to fit totally naturally with something like the HT Leia. Although like you say, the great likeness would probably make that a lot easier to live with.

I was never really able to pinpoint it, but I think that's what's turning me off from it as well.

While the likeness is superb, the overall appearance just seems to be a bit "rough" as you mentioned.

I'm not seeing that at all! To me the quality is exactly the same.

I have to agree with QuiGon that the lighting does make a difference but under dioders I think the Han looks just as good if not better than the HT sculpts, even those can occasionally have a rubbery look.

Like in a shot like this I don't see Leia as being any better. Natural light sometimes does weird things to the Jnix paint app though, namely that shiny/sweaty look it sometimes has in pics.

Jnix's Han Solo is brilliant absolutely fantastic it's a work of art the Best Solo by million miles nothing close to it
The HT Solo looks like his stunt double.
The Luke custom would have looked good if the eyes were not bulging and big with his red complexion,
it always reminds me of this:

Can people just admit the Jnix Luke sculpt isn't good hahah? Everyone gives excuses as if it's alright for a sculpt that costs that much to have flaws that major. I mean to be frank, all the Luke sculpts across Sideshow, Hot Toys and custom have been mediocre to awful minus the ESB Luke, which is probably just decent to good.

I'm trying really hard not to see it that way. Likeness is great, but it's just always struck me as being a bit rough.

It does look pretty good in TonTon's photo though.

Yes, the jacket sucks, but HT ain't doing him

Hi! Where did that black shirt come from?

I'm slowly assembling my own ceremony/ untold adventures Luke and looking into getting somebody to make it from scratch.

Also trying to figure out if the yellow jacket can be modded/tailored to fit better. Narrower sleeves and tapered waist.

I like the han bespin pants with the fly & little belt and it looks good on mine so far (although the rise is a little high), but everyone seems to use that one with the pronounced pin tuck (vertical seams down the fronts). Are those pants custom or from somewhere I can't place?

Does anyone have a spare stand that they aren't using that they would be willing to let go of? I want to replace my pilot Luke SS one with a HT to match my other Star Wars characters.

I think there's more right about the Jnix sculpt than there is the HT sculpt, but because the eyes on the Jnix sculpt in my opinion are just so way off and wonky looking, I give the HT sculpt the nod.

Yeah normally I tend to go for likeness over realism, but in this case I think the HT wins just for being a more believable and realistic sculpt.

I'd definitely be curious to see it with the same blond hair as the Jnix head though. That and brightening up the whites of the eyes would probably improve the likeness quite a bit (I'll never understand why HT always makes them so damn gray).

I have to agree. I tried to find the good in the Jnix sculpt but it kept bothering me. The HT paint work is also excellent

There is something unsettling about the Jnix sculpt that I can never quite put my finger on. It has an eerie quality about it. And the fact that you can see Luke in there somewhere makes it more so. yet I still kind of like it.:lol
