Went ahead and pre-ordered the exclusive. I need that stormtrooper belt, and I also consider this figure insurance, in case Sideshow's Pilot Luke is a disappointment and/or requires work.

Got the email too. Really nice to get a figure early instead of delay after delay. Especially a release like this that I am really looking forward to.
We'll have to figure out which figure is getting pushed back now. Leia?
I think HT is just unloading its OT figures quickly is all. Making room for TFA. TFA sales must have been much better than expected.
So no more fixes on old stuff.

Sweet, got it too. Still three months away but better than 8 months. Disney must really have HT in a vice, they want to pump these releases out. Haven't seen so many early releases on a license.

It would seem that HT has seriously increased its output ratio in terms of previous years/properties. All that bank from Disney/SW hopefully doesn't go to their heads and we get superior quality on all releases moving forward. I would hate to see a drop in quality standards as things are rushed forward. I am thinking they have new factory relationships and maybe maximizing on the Chinese economy which is all well and good as long as things don't end up like certain other releases have in terms of QC and processes (not just referring to HT figures here).

Does anyone know if they updated the lightsaber from the prototype to be ANH accurate or if they are still using the Bespin one?
If they do, great -- but I wouldn't count on any fixes at this point. Seems the push is on for TFA.
Sweet! Might cancel my BBTS order for him and go through SSC to get him early to complete the group!

As I have said before.... this line will get 20+ figures. Hot Toys top priority is TFA.... probably just Star Wars in general.

Well, they would have had to actually have fixed it a while ago for it to be close to shipping. I understand why the prototype was wrong as they just reused what they had, but it seems uncharacteristic of sideshow not to get the details right on an accessory like this by the time they get to production. As for the push for TFA, I'm sure that will drive interest in the classic stuff too.

I have the Hot Toys Luke and Obi-Wan setup as flex pay with Slideshow but now they are coming out sooner than expected which is great. If I want to get them when they are released from Sideshow, what do I need to do? Thanks!
