Looks great. Can you move the wall pieces a little wider apart, or is that the distance it needs to be for the Detolf?

That's to fit a detolf, however that pic is not taken in a detolf as the environment comes all the way to the front of the shelf and C3PO won't fit - the front metal plate is basically millimetres from the glass door. The sides can be moved further apart to make it round as opposed to oval however (1) the floor between would be too small, although Joost is looking at possibly making a wider floor available as a separate piece, and (2) the background image isn't wide enough so would look incomplete. I'll grab a wider floor if it becomes available and possibly relocate to a besta.

Here's some pics in an actual detolf (with and without mood lighting).

To be honest, no. I seldom ever look at the inside cover art and go right to the figure once I crack open the box. :lol

I think one of the slave ones might have been based on the ANH one.

Yes, it had almost exactly the same proportions but the face sculpt was much shallower and the paint job, while kind of matching her General Leia look (so the right movie at least) didn't come close to the HT. I think it had also been stretched slightly to make it narrower.

Not that I condemn nor condone it but I'm surprised a knock off head sculpt hasn't surfaced on eBay or OSK.

Bootleg heads in NO WAY affect Hot Toys sales. You don't need to wait for a moral backlash, lol.
The bootlegs are usually the same heads, released through other channels, but with inferior paint jobs.
If you want the quality, you'd go for the HT heads. If you just need "meh, it'll do", you can get cheaper ones. I expect we might see a Leia ANH head eventually.
In light of Carrie's passing and the figure selling out most places.

Holy crap.

So it was the impending Hoth Leia release that spurred me to finally pick up this one -- much as I love the Hoth gear, this one's the iconic representation of the character.

I'm a little floored. When Hot Toys got the license, this was what I imagined. I remember telling Wor-Gar I'd pay good money for ANH Luke and Leia.

The Luke is a good figure, but left a little to be desired, IMO. This figure, though -- holy crap...LOL.

This is what I envisioned for this license.

And now, to continue my tradition of rushed iPhone pics. Straight outta the box, minimal futzing. Veeeerrry impressed.
