Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS298 - Star Wars: Episode IV - Leia Organa Collectible Figure

The stuff I really want from the other two films are:

Jedi Luke
Yoda
Boba Fett
Lando
The Emperor
Wicket

Other than those there are some characters I'll definitely consider but those are my big wants.

Good list except for Wicket hahah

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS298 - Star Wars: Episode IV - Leia Organa Collectible Figure

I wish I could agree, but I still need a Grand Moff Tarkin. After this it'll be easier to be picky and choosey. Bespin Lando is my most wanted now.
Definitely need Tarkin. How long has it been now since Sideshow said he's being planned? Royal Guards too.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS298 - Star Wars: Episode IV - Leia Organa Collectible Figure

Tarkin would be great but I don't know if I see him happening. I'd definitely get him if he came out though.

Also I forgot about Jabba. The only problem there though is where to stop with the palace members once you buy him and his throne. I'd like to think I'd be happy with just him but there are so many great characters.

Great list. SS's Emperor with switch out portraits was REALLY nice though. I snagged him and the throne when they were available, have no regrets whatsoever - and no plans to get a HT version should one be offered.

Can't have Jabba without Salacious Crumb.

If they've done Coulson, 2 Nick Fury, Maria Hill, and Pepper Potts for Avengers, it seems to me that at some point they will definitely make Tarkin. He's really the only 'somewhat main' character and notable actor in ANH. Plus it's just a guy in a suit. Sounds like toy show exclusive sometime in the next several years to me.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS298 - Star Wars: Episode IV - Leia Organa Collectible Figure

I don't know, I must be lagging behind, 'cause to me 205 bucks for a bare bones figure seems way too much. :dunno

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS298 - Star Wars: Episode IV - Leia Organa Collectible Figure

This version is really lackluster, I'm gonna hold out and hope for a rebel EP VI Leia.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS298 - Star Wars: Episode IV - Leia Organa Collectible Figure

Ordered. The sculpt looks very good.
Now when I get it, the first thing I'm going to do is pour Hershey's Chocolate Sauce all over her, and lick it off.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS298 - Star Wars: Episode IV - Leia Organa Collectible Figure

I ordered the EX. Was slightly on the fence as to whether or not I should hold out for Empire Leia, and my wife told me that this is an instance where getting a version from each film wouldn't be crazy (my fav. movies) so I'll likely keep her! The price is fantastic as well! Even though it's just $15-$20 cheaper than many (including myself) expected it to be, it still seems so much more fitting!

I'll likely hold off on Chewie still...I'll only need one Chewie. Now it's just a question of picking up Han or not! :lol I have liked the recent shots of him. As for her backdrop, it'll almost definitely be Death Star related. When they initially announced it, I pretty much instantly thought (and still do) that it'd be this:

I also kinda want Stormtrooper Luke now, but I can't do that! That'd be insanity! :lol

I'm really hoping the next HT reveal will be ESB Yoda.

YES...I need one for my hut...and if nothing else the SSC Yoda will become more available...

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS298 - Star Wars: Episode IV - Leia Organa Collectible Figure

I dont know it think for 2 guns and a nice sculpt that 205 is a good deal. :dunno

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS298 - Star Wars: Episode IV - Leia Organa Collectible Figure

I'm curious as to why they used 2 bullet points for the head and hair. Kinda makes it sound like the hair is a separate piece. No?

- Authentic and detailed likeness of Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope
- A newly developed head sculpt with movie-accurate facial expression and make-up
- Detailed hair sculpture of Princess Leia’s iconic hair style

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS298 - Star Wars: Episode IV - Leia Organa Collectible Figure

Really the only other Leias I would want Hot Toys to make are a Hoth, a Boushh, and Slave. The most iconic outfits she wore. The others would be a nice bonus but those are my must haves.

It is. The buns are sculpted separately and attached...molded separately, anyway.

They always do that. I guess it makes it look like it comes with more stuff. They always seperate out the "likeness" and the "detailed headsculpt", seems pretty silly to me.

Every other company just says

-Real like headscupture

Except Star Ace. . . they straight up copy HT's specs and swap out the character info. . . kinda funny.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS298 - Star Wars: Episode IV - Leia Organa Collectible Figure

They seperate the hair out becuase sometimes it's sculpted like here, and other times it's fabric based like Pepper. So they specify just in case. Like Starbucks putting be careful it's hot on a cup of coffee. Should be obvious but people can be dense.
