Cool, thanks for the tip. Sometimes if I have a lot of final payments scheduled all on one particular day for various figures, I'll call and bump some of them up just to spread it out a bit.

That, or if it's just one I really want and don't want to wait anymore.

After all the uncertainty with Hot Toys shipping schedule, I have just started buying gift cards in the amount of the figure and then using those to pre-order it. It essentially lets you pay in full months in advance.

Regardless of how you pay, they still have to ship it to you. I'm not sure how paying with a gift card circumvents this and gets it to you any faster.

Why not just buy the figure?

If you pre-order it, you don't pay the full amount until it ships. That is typically fine, but as any Star Wars fan can attest, when Hot Toys shuffled their release schedule around and ended up shipping over half a dozen SW figures last November, it was a bit of a pain in the butt.

Now I don't have to worry about when a figure is released. It's paid for. Six figures could ship all at once and I wouldn't have to make sure I had $1,300 freed up.

It's not about getting it any faster (well maybe faster than Flex-pay, depending on your schedule), it's more about "fire-and-forget." It's done. I don't have to worry about it. It just ships.

I too think they'll offer a full head and more accessories on the CW Ant-Man to differentiate it to from the first one. Should be interesting to see it in action in the movie, since it will feature how the new suit works.

No. With the exception of your first ever purchase with them I believe, SSC always charges an up front non-refundable fee that goes towards the purchase, just in case you decide to later on cancel your order.

Nope. That is why I started just using giftcards.

PayPal doesn't work for orders where there isn't a pre-determined shipping cost. No clue as to why.

It depends on what you mean by "better".

Are you buying from Sideshow? You can Pay by PayPal and they charge you right away I believe. Same with Amazon Payments

Or flex pay. Or ssc cards. Or put the money aside. If you have the money up front then there really shouldn't be an issue. You have a ton of ...edit-options not issues. Stupid auto correct

Anyway I get my Sideshow Reward Points with each purchase and that works for me.

I didn't even have to use my points as the "2016Mar" code got me $20 off the purchase of my Ant-Man. So I saved my points for the next one that doesn't have a code going on.
