This figure turned out to be fantastic! Just wish I knew they were going to update the helmet before it waitlisted.

Yeah the helmet upgrade was a welcome surprise, after I got dx28 I considered canceling this one, so glad I waited.

The new mask is fantastic but the Shaw sculpt is minus the eyebrows close to Yondu level in likeness.

Really happy I held out so loooong for my first Vader. I was determined to wait for a 1/6 ROTJ Vader from HT, and it feels like my patience was rewarded because it's such a stellar piece!

So with this guy finally out, what’s the consensus? If this the definitive OT Vader or just go with the cheapest priced one that’s out and call it a day?

Having owned pretty much all of them, this is in my opinion the best OT Vader out there, probably best overall unless you want a more Rogue one/Owk accurate Vader with damage, then dx28 is your pick.

I own both and prefer the RoTJ version. Little details like the Shaw sculpt, upgraded face mask, helm reveal details and WAY easier to swap hands takes the win.
