Any pics from when you took the belt off by chance. Previous belts have just been a hole and peg type of thing. When I tried to take the belt off of mine, it looks like it was kind of a little nut and bolt type of situation going on back there. Is there an actual snap now or just tell the hole and peg thing I’m confused. Thanks.

Has anyone physically done the swap yet of the boots. I don’t think they’ll fit or if they do they’ll be extremely tight as the bodies are different on the two figures and I believe the boots have a slightly different diameter to them.
Agreed, the OWK boots diameter is less than the ROTJ boots, so it was a challenge stuffing the pant material through the boots, but it was doable. I basically pinched the material and eased it inside the boots while pulling up on the boots simultaneously. It’s a bit tight, but I think it looks fine, especially since the bottom “skirt” hides some leftover bunching of the material that I could not get inside the boots.

Also, attached is a picture of the subtle differences between the OWK (left) and ROTJ (right) Vader boots for anyone interested in doing the mod. The OWK boots are indeed more screen-accurate and they add more height/length to the legs which I like, the stock height seems a touch too stumpy to me. I personally found it to be worth it.

It’s the same snap-on mechanism as prior Vader belts where you can snap the right button on/off.

Hi all, I just received my MMS699 ROTJ Darth Vader and would like to check if the gap as shown in the red highlight area is normal?

Is yours the same and not flushed/aligned such that the gap is not present?

Any photos can be shared for reference would be appreciated!

Since the mask comes apart there is a separation line there, but it appears your is not fully flush together as seen by the little gap behind the tusks. It has a tighter fit on mine, try to take the helm apart as if to swap in the Shaw head then reassemble it, should fix it

Like rayeknor mentioned, if you take it apart and reassemble, it should line up more flush. I also thought the same as you when I first unboxed it and thought mine came defective, but my worries instantly disappeared when I put it back together and pressed down on it to make it sit more flush. The nature of the asymmetrical design also lends to the “wonky” feel but it’s supposed to be that way.

It’s been a while since I’ve gawked at a figure. I notice I find myself doing that when I place said figure on my nightstand lol and watch the film the figure is from. This Vader figure is that good to me, imo.
