I found a scratch on the back of my Vader’s helmet. Unfortunately Sideshow can’t help me at this point.

I painted the peeling areas on my Rogue One with this acrylic paint that goes on fabric (after I did 2 coats of 303 Protectant).
Result is pretty good and hard to see where the paint is

They have no more spare parts. I had the figure for a while before I noticed the scratch.

I have just received my Vader from Hong Kong and it has rubs on the helmet.

I can't see any mention of them meant to be there. Is my Vader helmet defective?

Mine was almost exactly the same as your first picture. It was a rub, but it only went through the gloss coat. The black paint was fine. One could only see it under the lights. I thought it was just glare from the lights, but no. I ended up buying a dome aftermarket. I consider myself lucky I only paid $20 for it.

That stinks. Seems like maybe you got an early batch, and they ran out of parts early. Now that more stock is arriving they should have more parts.

I had the same issue on mine. Using some plastic scratch remover will make it look shiny and new.

Someone else here had the same issue with their helmet. I think they asked for a replacement.

I sent the entire thing back for a replacement, we'll see how the new one holds up when it arrives in a couple of days...

It was 2ouble 8ight on instagram. They're in korea I think. Really fast delivery. The suits aren't perfect in that they can be stiff and tricky to get over the body due to the thicker material, but I'm pretty happy with them. Might try and really hitting them with a lot of leather conditioner to see if they loosen up a bit

I had bought one from Rise customs a little bit ago. They might still be on FB.

Sorry, I'm not fully versed in Vader domes, but I know that ESB Vader does not have the pointy widow's peak that the HT's ESB Vader does. It's should be kinda between the ANH and ROTJ versions. As far as how wide the dome and flared part are, I have no idea of the differences.

Good job. You're never going to notice that touch up at normal viewing angles

Very clever of you. I'm looking on ebay now and I can only find the full helmet. Nobody selling the dome seperately unfortunately.

I have seen more QC issues with this helmet than any other single piece other than later deterioration (pleather/rubber) issues.
