Who? What? Never heard of them. Look 'em up. Seem confusing -- soldiers with guns for peace. I don't get any 'religious' aspect to UN troops -- are they not suppose to marry and dedicate themselves fully to studying a religion?

Your answer is a fail.

They should keep peace so as Jedies. That's the parallel. I'm not talking about religion. You asked, I answered what I see as example of Jedies in reality, you fail.

Jedies? Seriously?

Jedies? Seriously?

Sorry for ruining your day. I hope you will recover soon. Also thank you for pointing on the most important thing here. I hope you feel good now. But seriously, sorry, i was writing in a hurry on non-english keyboard on my phone, it corrected that way from Jedi :)

Up until the Tantive actually being present in the battle it was all going pretty good. I find it hard to believe that Baal had in mind having Leia actually IN the space battle. I understand that the decision to go help them was very rapidly made but at the same time, 3PO and R2 are still standing bungling around the base while most of the fleet is scrambling.

Having Vader actually see the Tantive leave was a bit much, loved the battle up until that point and actually liked seeing Leia as well but that tie is too close. I mean at that point Vader chases her until they are over a certain planet that has, oh I don't know, zero significance to Vader yet he never even notices? I hate that he is from Tatooine, that he built 3PO, that he was immaculately created by the Living Force, etc. Now he ends up over it, knowing what he is chasing, and never bothers to go down there himself?

Like Ton Ton and others said... putting WAY to much weight in these stories... they are really fun to watch and think about up to a point.

Agreed that c3po and r2 sinc eto have missed the flight which is weird and that the tantive didn't need to be there or at least not directly seen by Vader - the plans as you say could have been transmitted whilst Vader was kicking backsides

Can we return to discussing this lady?

:lol My girlfriend caught that too.

I find discussing the movie more engaging than ogling pics of Felicity Jones. :dunno

Same here and if you didn't tell me that was her I would never have guessed (looks like a teen model or something).

I currently have Jyn Deluxe, Donnie Yen Deluxe, and KS-2O on pre-order but argue with myself every day to cancel them all. I have no space for this stuff and even though I thoroughly enjoyed the film, not sure I want to branch off a part of my display space for representations from it.

Plus looking at Jazz Inc.'s display pieces I am thinking that money would be better spent to provide a more impressive display for the figures I already own from ANH.

I'm kinda with you there. Space is a big issue but those Jazz detolf shelf backdrops don't actually take away much display space the way new figures might.

I have one of the death star backdrops and it's pretty awesome to have Vader, Ben or the Stormtroopers on there (really any ANH figure), and just thinking of all the ones he has planned plus other possibilities (detention block) makes my head spin.

I have Jyn Deluxe ordered to and maybe just need to wait it out until Krennic gets announced as if I keep Jyn I'll at least want one other to display her with, even though I'd really like a bunch of them (Death Trooper, Krennic, Chirrut, K2). If only space didn't matter.

Given you're thorough job discrediting this guy, got a source from the creative team to back that up? Regardless of the timing, the argument still stands.

"creative team"?:lol

Maybe we should ask the Disney "story group" - aka committee - that dictates the SW stories for hired writers to follow (mostly same committee responsible for "Strange Magic", the LFL fairy movie,) the same "creative" model used on daytime soaps? Or the hired gun director who Disney replaced and had little to do with the sequence (the Vader attack was scripted and shot after Edwards stepped aside)? Or the writer/director Disney brought on to write and supervise the reshoots, and do the final edit, when the whole Vader sequence was added? Or the VFX guy whose unproduced SW TV episode script formed the basis for the RO story? Or the key hired writer who tweeted "Please note that the Empire is a white supremacist (human) organization opposed by a multicultural group led by brave women" (okay, that one was just really funny, but I thought I'd include it)?

Nah... I think the Team Disney suits and their geek flunky "Holocron keeper" will fit the definition of "creative team" just fine. I mean he IS also a member of that committee...

Other than the "fake transponder" idea - which is solely your creation - there is no argument left to be still standing.

Damn, that was a quick change of subject in this thread. :lol

Last night it was the PT, now it's the time between the ending of R1 and the start of ANH. Does it really matter precisely when R1 ends? 5 minutes? 10 minutes? The next day? I mean either way, I think the reasonable implication is that it ends pretty much right before ANH begins and segues perfectly into it, regardless of the exact time.

Momaw stated it was not - that it was weeks, in an attempt to make the absurdities that Leia and Antilles say to Vader more rational and not he-knows/she-knows/we-know silliness and a waste of screen time.

Why does everyone assume RO ends 5 mins before ANH starts? Blockade Runners are a common ship. Tantive IV wasn't written on the side of it. It's highly likely it had a fake transponder. I doubt it would have made a direct run from the battle, the Death Star and Vader to the last Jedi known to be alive. Vader could have been hunting that thing for weeks by the time he caught up with it over Tatooine. At this point it's more than reasonable to play dumb with Vader.

Weeks? In a ship capable of hyperspace? Nah... don't buy it.

But it does seem odd that there's this rush to get the plans to the Rebel Base and yet Leia says "hey let's swing by Tatooine and pick up old Ben"... and that's where Vader catches up with her. She should have transmitted the plans immediately to Mon Mothma...

This transmission thing is a bit like Force powers (i.e. running fast) -- only works some of the time, but not when needed.

I noticed. That's who I was pretty much referring to. :lol

I suppose if the SW universe makes more sense to him though by thinking that, then so be it.
