I mean in terms of actual availability, it wouldn’t really clash with Queens Joker, at least for me. Say Queens version releases Q1 of next year at the latest. Hot Toys announces a Joker 3.0 within the next month. We would all have seen Queens production Joker before Hot Toys version actually releases for another year or longer. I never PO or order Hot Toys figures anymore until they actually start releasing in HK so I would be waiting to see how their production version looks like before deciding if I wanted it or not.
Yeah, I held off on Doc Ock and Green Goblin because I wanted to see if HT actually listens to the criticisms and improve the sculpt.

Has anyone confirmed pricing? because you know “retailer markup” I’m curious on what we’ll see because of the demand for this release.

I meant as in it will be officialy available with US and European distributors among others whom can provide costumer support, the QS version is 100% coming out first but if anything comes broken on yours you're screwed.
But getting TWO figures for $1000 is actually less then paying $600 for each.
That's where Hot Toys can find their opening, $500 or $600 for a rooted Ledger Joker is what most people were waiting for instead of the double pack, if Hot Toys really cares about coming out on top it's always a possibility.

I highly doubt sideshow will carry this. I’m planning to order thru kit been using them for 8 years now. I’m just curious about markup on price. Fingers crossed we get msrp.

This is probably pure coincidence, but exactly the same happened to me. I didn't make a list of SW characters I want, but I do have a small selection of characters I want/have (which are 6), and I don't stray further than that. ARC Jesse came out of nowhere, and he really took me back to the mid 2000s with the CW series and my love for the ARC design back then, so I had to order him. He's actually my most anticipated preorder.
It's funny, Fives and an ARC (not Bad Batch) version of Echo were on my list, so when Jesse happened I was completely caught off guard becauseI never even thought we had a chance for Fives, despite him being the second most popular Clone Trooper after Rex.

Glad there's someone else in my boat here, lol

Same, with Goblin you can always put on the helmet but that Ock sculpt is really terrible, I also want to see if they make Tobey and Andrew properly before comiting to anything, my collection is mainly video games with some other properties scattered in between so those figures need to be damn good for me to put in the kind of money needed to complete the line and have a full shelf dedicated to it, but I'm also waiting for PS5 Spidey to drop or have more trailers come out so I can see if it would be worth waiting for figures of that instead, a Peter and Miles fighting Venom for a display would also be really cool, maybe not as iconic but then again I'm a video game guy above all.

This will only be officialy distributed in China so yeah lol, the only figure Sideshow will carry from QS will be Paul from Dune since that has a worldwide license but then again he's no Joker.

I think the biggest surprise for me would be if Hot Toys actually tried with their rooted hair for once.
All they’ve done so far is that cheap Barbie plastic hair. I don’t think they’ve ever touched the custom rooted hair material which I think is goat hair? Forgot what material it was that these custom high end rooted hair use.

After thinking a lot I am not going to wake up at 3 am in the morning to do the preorder. Tomorrow when I wake at 8am (+5 hours after preorders starts) I'll do my preorder. I hope there are no limit quantities and all of us have 72 hours to do the preorder.

If QS decides to stop by quantity of preorders I'll try to buy sculpted one. If not is not for me then!

Good luck everyone!

The biggest surprise would be if they tried at all lol, QS has made a clear statement with this figure and it's up to Hot Toys how they respond to it.

In the early days of HT take over -- like 2008-2011 -- what was the name of the company that challenged HT constantly and then HT would always come back at them with a figure of better quality... and that company finally caved. Did they have Terminator wars?

You think retailers will bump this up to $1200?

Sideshow would... thank god they're not selling it.
I finally reached my line in the sand with Sideshow. They charged me for Ahsoka on the 10th, ten days later still hasn't shipped, same as everyone else. I'm only going to go through Kit or Giantoy for stuff from now on.

I say this because at least Kit seems ethical enough to not price gouge on this. Perhaps Giantoy won't. I'm sure some of those other overseas retailers won't think twice about it though.
