Jokes aside. That's economy. You can't expect prices to be the same as 5 years ago. Everything goes up. More likely with successful company like HT. High deman, high prices.

Actually we barely have 1% inflation in the U.S. The EU even struggles to hit that mark. The Yuan has actually actually declined at least 10% over five years versus the U.S. dollar. And no, not all goods an services go up over time, just ask anyone here who has been 3D printing over that period.

Sideshow has raised priced because of riding Hot Toys' coat tails. I think it was a mistake because it turned a lot people hostile to Sideshow (well, more so) because their inevitable failures now cost a lot more. I mean the X-Wing Luke figures are absurdly priced and the price jump for IG-88 is outrageous.

I think there is alot of forecasting done now. It seems (just from a buyers POV) that at one time there was a connection to whats being offered, reasonable prices, etc... I think now things are popularity driven and online aftermarket prices showed these companies that they were leaving alot of cash on the table. Its the same with statues, I don't think its weird that the more popular statues were selling for 500 to 600 bucks online once they had sold out and that now seems to be the release comfort zone. I think they are also trying to add in extra cash for far off releases so that they don't have another DX Luke situation (pricing so far ahead of time that by release they realise they could have charged more). Just my opinion. I'm sure licensing, etc have all gone up as well to add into the pie, but theres definitely an extra kick in collecting beyond inflation.

Ended up picking this guy up on Ebay. Loved the EX head. Added a Sideshow at-at driver padded suit to the small one he comes with. Outfit was a pain to remove, but worth it. If I ever find my camera cable, will show pics! lol Added some gloss to his teeth and gums - and a tad on his arms. Dude was shiny in ESB

Thanks, I agree. That suit was a beyotch to take apart, but worth it. Used an extra Sideshow At-at driver undersuit for the look. I did also stick a little tubing material in the outter tube of the suit, to make it look like actual tubing and not just cloth
