Super Freak
This isn't a must-have for me, such as Boba and Bossk, but I'll need it to complete my ESB bounty hunter display. Probably will pick it up at a later date.
I know for sure the next time you see Grievous, it won't be the one I painted.
Back on topic...more pics of IG-88.
Back on topic...more pics of IG-88? Would like to see some rear and profile views...
I got the Shoulders do rotate with a hair dryer.
Yes the do, but damn is it hard to get it to start to turn. One side was fine and didn't need heat, but the other was a like breaking a metal weld. I was thinking about boiling water, but I didn't want to get water into this guy. Just so you know theres paint al over the inside of the joints, so even with a little turning the paint starts to come off. SSC really shouldn't had painted the joints at all. Now The paint outside is fine.Excellent, I thought heat would work. So the actual end-cap on the shoulder twists all the way around?
I just told you they did rotate. There's pics at RSI looked at the shoulder knob and it sure doesn't look like it should move/rotate to me. Can someone show their rotating shoulder cap? Please...
In the mean time, finally got some serious IG-88 pics going here. Hope they are helpful as I spent some time researching how everything should go on him, including which way his legs and hoses go as you can see below:
Here's scale:
And here's just a bunch:
I just told you they did rotate. There's pics at RS
Thanks for the pics, WG. It does suck having that seam right in the front though.
Just wanted to confirm with pics so I know I'm turning the right thing. Thanks for the pictures, its very helpful.
Nice pics WG
The ring above his mouth moves and so does the eye ring as well. So that means the head rotates in 3 spots.
Funny thing is earlier I wasn't sure what you meant about the seam because I didn't have a seam in the front of the head, but just a few minutes ago I started to turn the rings and it moved just fine with out heat. Just grab the bottom of the head with the holes in one hand and then turn the ring above that. It's snug, but it turns very smooth. Believe me I didn't want to be the guinea pig here and break something on a new $200 figure, but I'm glad I could help. Thanks! The lights in the head look better in hand than I could capture in a pic, and overall he's really well done. This is terrific practice for SS on droids, so I hope they've learned a lot for 3PO.... especially how not to paint the joints.
Best news of the day! That's a great relief. Did you twist yours once heated, is it just stuck with paint like everything else?
