Here's a quick attempt at changing the skin colour. I'm not sure if I got the shade right but it gives a general idea what he would look like.

Wow, I don't mean to piss on anyone's parade but that sculpt is awful. I usually don't complain or nit-pick about figures here, but that honestly looks like they got an intern to sculpt it or something. I'm actually kinda shocked.

Ordered the regular Yoda. Not picking up the Dagobah environment. If I can find Yoda somewhere for a bit cheaper, I'll bite. The sculpt and coloring isn't that impressive, so I'm hesitant to spend $80 on a 5 inch figure.

I've never understood why so many companies can't seem to get Yoda's coloring right. He is basically a mint green in Empire, yet we always seem to end up with a darker green ala the PT.

And Jabba is another one that is never done right, while I love the Sideshow figure, he should have been dark green and orange, not the light green and tan we got.

It's because they color him the same color as the actual puppets used in TESB & ROTJ. The lighting for the Dagobah scenes almost made him more of a grayish-mint color, which I also prefer.

Ordered my set earlier today, incredible pieces!

Also, TESB + Yoda + Dagobah trumps ROTJ + Jabba + Throne every time.

Yep. Something someone said once that I agree with is "A symbol is never as great as the thing it symbolizes." Sure Jabba on the throne is a head turning piece, but it still symbolizes the early portion of Return of the Jedi. TESB and Dagobah has a true "magic" about them that ROTJ, and its subsequent collectibles, just can't touch.

When I look at the hut playset it instantly takes me back to 30 years of watching TESB and much more fun playing with the Kenner Dagobah set than I ever had with the vintage Jabba.

Thanks, I'm feeling better! Just couldn't believe I missed this one. After a million clones, they finally start in with the juicy OT figures and I'm asleep at the wheel...

Yoda looks FAR too cheery and relaxed o SS, Medi might have been too slim, but they got that stern and worried Yoda FEEL dead-on.

The Medi looks emaciated, but it looks overall more like ESB Yoda. The SS portrait looks like a re-worked Hasbro. My ideal situation is to pick up a Medi Yoda cheap,when the prices come down and transplant the head to the SSC body.

I dunno, I wish Sideshow offered us another sculptor's portrait, because this is too important of a character to accept a "pretty good" sculpt.

Have to pass on this one. Sideshow really came up short in my opinion as the figure looks nothing like the film and everything like the Hasbro version I already have.
