Have to agree with King here... something is wrong when a 1/6 figure from HT has better (way better) paint apps than a PF.

I do hope Sideshow is able to upgrade their paint work... if they can do this they will make up a lot of lost ground.

About 90% of my collection is statues. It's hard for me to justify spending hundreds on figures.

It's easy to justify if a figure looks better

For instance I love my Raiders PF, but I would love if Hot Toys made a figure of a Raiders Indy. I am pretty sure it own anything out there, including the latest Temple of Doom PF

The only figure i spent $$$ on was the Enterbay Bruce Lee Version B.

Aside from that, I'm happy the $30 NECA 12" and $40 NECA 18".

I am far from an elitist. I purchased ALL the 12" McFarlane Predators for $30-$40 and they are ALL I NEED. I find that certain people that purchase Hot Toys & Sideshow 12" figures are actually the elitists, NOT THE STATUE COLLECTORS.

I just feel that Movie licences aside from Star Wars, are not really something Sideshow takes too much care or interest in as of late.

I am not talking about quality either, it's more to do with portraying a pose (TOD PF, Jack Sparrow) or lack of characters (No Battle Damaged T2 PF, Why?)

The only thing that worries me about the PF, is will Sideshow go for their interpretation when it comes to the pose, or will they pick an iconic pose from the movie?

Everybody that collects one or the other thinks that their choice is superior, and that comes out in posts sometimes. It's like how the right and left wing ideologues view each other, or the Israelis and Palestinians. Folks are really quick to pick out others' issues and prejudices, but can't see their own to save their life.

Oh come on some of us that go on about 1/6 being better, are just generalising for a bit of fun. It would be boring if we could not carry on the tradition.
In all seriousness my wish for a 1/6 comes down to space just as much as preference

I have always liked this Bust that was made by a guy called Jim Sweet.
It will be nice to have something of this quality available for the fans
