He did some other kit sculpts that blew me away years ago, Devil man, Guyver, some wicked girl kits, so many others, and this Pile kit is legendary.
So, it sure isn't a bad thing to have a Takeya alien in the mix I guess...

Some of us (including me, abake) wrote to HC and the HT design team to point out the differences but in the end, so many Warrior variants were used in the film (danceskin, etc) we were all just hoping HT would produce a cool looking fig and they did.

The detail is stunning. Too bad the articulation was not very cleverly designed, but for a 25 dollars figure, it is quite stunning in its own right...
