Don't worry less, I and I'm sure most everyone else in here, can appreciate your situation, I read about it your customs thread, and ya this is just a toy so to speak, but in dark times we look for glimpses of light, and clearly Aliens is a strong passion for you and the potential of this piece was a ray of hope for you to find some light in your dark times and it's made you feel that was stripped away, but certainly, your passion and contributions on all levels is certainly very appreciated and you've got a lot of brothers around here who appreciate your gifts and persona and we'd hate to not have you popping up around here.

Thought we lost you for a second there figuremasterles.

Well, now that all that has been said (again).... hopefully there will be some Haul pictures soon.

No worries Les and no apology necessary. I understand and appreciate the passions of others, being an Artist myself, but thanks Bro. Just trying to keep the troops happy... now that some of us have gone to the wall for our Brother Freaks to try and make them happy with this fig. Ruminations and tribulations of being a Libra I guess... We did what we could, right guys?

Love Ya Bro and my thoughts and prayers are always with ya... :D

Hey, guys. So I'm watching the theatrical version of ALIENS the other night on Cinemax. Yeah, I own the awesome ALIEN Quadrilogy box set with both versions of the movie in it and all that. But I noticed again....not for the first time...that Ripley did NOT at any time in the movie have gloved hands like the Hot Toys figure of her. Why did HT give her the same "fingerless" gloved hands as Vasquez, and not bare hands like she was supposed to have like in the movie? Does anyone know what female, or even male bare hands would work for the HT Ripley arms? I really want to replace the fingerless gloved hands now with bare hands for my Ripley. Let me know if you have replaced your Ripley hands with whatever bare hands you used. Or, if you haven't, let me know what other bare hands fit her arms, or the wrist sockets in her arms for the hands. Do they make other Hot Toys hands that can fit in there? Does Dragon, BBI or some other manufacturer make any that fit? Let me know. I appreciate the help as always! :D

Jedi Mike...

Man. I wish!
There's this great Hot Toys Marine chick, 3rd something....that is Kristanna Loken of Terminator 3 fame, and she has all this bleedin' gear...and bare hands!!!!!
I was gonna get one, use the head for my TX custom, and those hands for my Rip...but...she cost $150 with about $40 shipping to the US.
Lesson, see one, get one, if you have the spare $200!!!!

I coulda gotten her nude for $39!!!!! Arrrghhhhh!!!! :banghead

Until HT comes out with another female with regular hands, it's body changover time. Sorry.

I think a Series 3 is inevitable. I'm guessing Frost and Bishop but no clue which "obscure" marine they will go with for the 3rd. Gorman is too plain and Burke is dull.

Hey, Les, where could you have got the Kristina Lokken (excuse my spelling of her name!) for the decent price of $39.00? On eBay? Do you think one is still on there if it was on eBay? What was the title of it? 3rd...something? I guess 12" female figure bare hands are really hard to find?! I'll keep looking...

As for a series 3 of the ALIENS marines I'd love to see a Bishop with "rooted hair" and a "tear-apart" torso feature!Private Frost, and possibly...Ferro with her flightsuit and cool hemet with the "I Fly The Friendly Skies" tagline on it, with her big shades aka sunglasses. She'd be the last cool female I'd love to get. I may someday make a custom Deitrich, the first marine to be killed by the aliens. I'd have to find a female head with a very square jaw! Her jaw was HUGE! :D

I'm not certain that costume-wise Gorman or Burke is any less boring than Bishop.

Burke could come with a Facehugger in glass -- making him the most sought after figure.

Gorman... well, besides bandages, a pistol and that little grenade, not sure.

Yeah but Bishop could come with interchangeable battle-damaged torso. I'd buy that for a dollar.

It'd be funny as hell if it were Bishop, Burke and Gorman! :lol
And Burke with a stasis tube would indeed rule! And, since he is THE villain of the movie, it would be cool to have him. You could pose him in Ripley's hands, having the snot wrung out of him! :D Paint some sweat on his upper lip...Hudson with a gun in his face....

JediMike, that body is LONG GONE dude! That was ages ago! I missed it because I wasn't after one back then. :banghead
