Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)
I finally got to see Endgame, overall it was great!
I think I liked the quiet character moments the most, the battle at the end was a bit overdone. A jarring moment from seeing Ant-Man trying to hot wire the van then in the next shot is Giant-Man in the background, kinda took me out of it for a second. I think the single worse thing in the movie was the A-Force moment, just implausible, unnecessary, and stupid. It was also my first seeing Cap Marvel on screen, ridiculously OP! I hope when Thanos punched her it de-powered her; just a terrible wannabe version of Superman, all the power without the morality. The conclusion was satisfying, but I would've liked the Time Heist to have been expanded and modified so that the consequences from that be the ending without the giant battle. I also wouldv'e liked to have seen what happened when Capt. America went back to replace the Soul Stone and found Redskull there. Between Infinity War and Endgame, I like stuff from both and the two movies supplement each other, if I have to pick which I like the most, it's Infinity War.
I watched the Spider-Man: FFH trailer afterwards, meh. I'm looking forward to Doctor Strange 2, but nothing else they have planned has me at all interested. I think I'm done with the MCU.
Looking forward to watching Endgame again though!
