I wonder if Sideshow's participation at SDCC (if they are going... which I would think they are) will delay shipping at all? Comic-con begins on the 18th... Will SS even start shipping these that close to the start of the show, or will all the SDCC craziness delay it until the show ends on the 22nd?

They wouldn't be much of a business if they couldn't "walk and chew gum" at the same time. They've known the dates for 2013's Comic Con at least since the start of 2012's Comic Con, if not earlier. There's no reason they should allow the planning of that to throw off their normal operations.

I for one, am equally excited about the seeing the armoured shield than i am about the actual car! I may have mentioned before but i was on the fence when i first saw the proto back in 2011 at SDCC i think it was? However, once i found out about HT's including the armoured shield i was sold!!!

Guys, the HT 1989 Batmobile is almost upon us! Move your sofas, move your beds, move your kitchen tables if you must...the time has finally come to make room for this beast!!!

I think they were both taken from Hong Kong pal...Hong Kong is the place to be! Unless of course your lucky enough to be heading to San Diego next week where you'll be able to see both the 89 and the 66 Batmobiles in the flesh!

But sadly, this is the case with many companies that have a real presence at Comic-Con. All their resources go into being at the show and regular operations slow down a bit.

Not saying this will be the case with SS on this... But I won't be surprised if it does happen.

This is bizarre. I actually had a dream last night that this randomly showed up at my door without warning. It was really awesome up close but incredibly light weight for some reason. Yea random and I know.

Wow talk about creepy... I had a dream last night that I had it shipped to a friends house and he just got it saying " Wow this thing is huge and heavy"

Can anyone confirm on the weight for this thing? Teaser pic says 22kg, specs on SS's site state 32LBS....there's a
big difference between those two...

Hmmm... Maybe the 32 lbs is the actual weight of the car, and the 22kg is the weight of it in box?
