Scale looks very odd with that Keaton figure, but regardless, very very excited for this.

Sucks about the shield, but I ain't complaining. This thing is a masterpiece. Way to go Hot Toys. And someone out there will take the shield that HT supplies and turn it into a nice sturdy plastic piece that we all can buy later.

Thinking the same thing. Could be that he's not well positioned, I guess all we can do is wait and see.
OR, this was probably made with the returns Batman (leaner?) in mind.

Bingo. This board is loaded with talented people. This will be easy for someone here and yea I'd probably buy one if it turns out well.

AWWWW YEAH!

HOT TOYS HOW DARE YOU CHEAP OUT ON US!

At $700 this should have an afterburner that can be refilled with butane tanks!

:lol

I would be perfectly happy if they did the lights and some Ghostrider'ish flames for the afterburner but it would need to be detachable when it's not lit up to not make it look cheesy without the lights on :p hmm again this someone could make and sell? ;)

Seriously, who is going to put the batman in the batmobile? If you have two, be my guest, but this is the setup i'm gunning for.

That's pretty much what I'm going with too.

Can't wait to see the first pics of Joker in it. :lol

I think the lower edge of the canopy is a little bit too thick, making the windows look too short/narrow (height-wise) when compared to the actual car.

Not a big deal for me though. They look almost like turret slits now.

As for a metal working afterburner, I thought that would be a cool mod for one of my R/C Batmobiles, or even the Tumbler....but I'm also worried that even if the metal doesn't burn, it might get so hot that it melts / warps the plastic of the car body around it.

Re: Hot Toys Batman 1989: 1/6th scale Batmobile Collectible Vehicle - Specs & Pics

That makes three of us (at least)...

I might try to put my BW in it...she should be slim enough...:lol

you read my mind. i'm going to attempt it after i get past the shock of finally having this thing

You are not helping bro...
I'm about to call and have them move my flex payment date!
Must.Control.Myself....

I already tried... They won't move it, regardless of how long you had your order in (mine has been there since February of 2012). Seems like an odd policy... Shipping orders you got last week before those that have been paying for a year and a half. But whatevs... This will be the last time I flex anything with SS.

And I am not going to get too stressed out on the shield until we have more people confirming in hand about the quality. Even then, to me it is just a dust cover anyways. :)

the steering look a bit cheap.

Re: Hot Toys Batman 1989: 1/6th scale Batmobile Collectible Vehicle - Specs & Pics

It should be black with a silver bat symbol. I'm sure it's the lighting and the pic itself that's throwing off the quality.

Re: Hot Toys Batman 1989: 1/6th scale Batmobile Collectible Vehicle - Specs & Pics

Loving this thing.

I would like to see someone talented create a blast of flame to plug into the back though. Hot Toys got pretty good at fire like in the Ironman Mark I 2.0 figure.

Not going to rely on one person's opinion of the shield. Even if it is just the same type of plastic that they ship the figures in, it should be good enough to cover this thing.

Re: Hot Toys Batman 1989: 1/6th scale Batmobile Collectible Vehicle - Specs & Pics

I put this vehicle is the same "elite" league as the "Millennium Falcon". I am pretty sure no one will disagree!!!

Re: Hot Toys Batman 1989: 1/6th scale Batmobile Collectible Vehicle - Specs & Pics

I figured out what I'm going to do for having a "Batman" driver in there...one of my old Takara Begins Batmen wearing DX09's cowl and symbol with a Tony cape, will be both flexible and thin enough to easily sit in there and have the details of his suit obscured enough by the DX09 parts and Tony cape that it will be passable for a seated "Keaton" Batman.

I've got the last MF from Hasbro :yess:

Re: Hot Toys Batman 1989: 1/6th scale Batmobile Collectible Vehicle - Specs & Pics

Not the toy or the 1/6. I mean the design for a movie.

I see.

Btw, I'll take a pic of this Batmobile next to the Millenium Falcon.
