Thanks Spanbauer, got a little nervous for a moment. And yeah, would of been cool if they did light up.

It looks like as more and more people email them regarding this issue, they're issuing back less money to handle the huge amount of emails regarding this matter.

So if someone gets their Batmobile today with QC issues and emails them, by the time they hear back from SSC they'll probably be offered $30 at that point. :slap

Which is absolutely crazy. Even with the original $80 credit, SS was making more money than they would if they sold one to the affiliate sites (BBTS, AE, CSC, etc). Why would you want folks to send it back to you for the refund and buy it somewhere else? SS stands to make less money that way than if they just offered a higher refund... and you also won't have a great chance of that customer coming back.

If they offer me $50, I am boxing it up and sending it back. I love it, I REALLY love it... But that it is just terrible on their part. I'd rather take the chance of not getting another somewhere else than support the stingy "credit" they are offering on this damaged $600+ item. :(

Bingo. If they offered me $100 in credit I would keep it. I don't get it. Why not just give a refund amount that's decent so that we can just keep the Batmobile? Having us return it and then later ship out the one that was returned to someone else will surely cost them more than $100.

Hopefully he gets back to me soon with a return label. I want to get this box out of my house.

I think to be fair $75- 100 should be refunded- SS will still be ahead and not be burdened with all the hassle of shipping- restocking and storing these.....

This is getting ridiculous. I just e-mailed Josh at AE to find out what's going on as I've bought a lot of stuff from him in the past. If Sideshow is knocking the partial refund amount down to $50, I might just box mine up and send it back even though it only has one light scuff. I just don't like the idea of Sideshow screwing people on this refund process and I'll go ahead and make them eat the return shipping cost if they're going to continue reducing the refund amounts on this piece!

That is awful. Really awful. These lowball credits are going to backfire on them.

Can anyone tell me how long it's taking BBTS to return emails on this? Sent them an email on Friday and got no response today and now they're closed for the day. Maybe by tomorrow?

AWESOME

Mine arrived almost perfect.

It has haze on one of the circle windows but all it takes is rubbing your fingernail on the haze and it comes right off and dont damage the window.

So I think they are checking / adding protection now

How badly is it damaged, c3r1h5? If its only a light scuff I wouldn't spend $180 to do the exchange.

I posted in the damage thread, but never here...

Alex from AE got back to me saying SSC is offering $50 back now.

Great to see they're offering back less and less. I asked for a return label. What a joke this is. :ohbfrank:

They are probably offering him back $50 personally... and that would make sense since he is a vendor and probably bought it cheaper.

Camera body and kit lens was about $720 when I bought it four years ago; my model is long-since discontinued and the current replacement is the Nikon D5200 which runs about $700 for the body-only. The 35mm lens I use for most of my photos is a relative steal at $199. Shooting RAW and adjusting the colors, lights and shadows and white balance in post makes a big difference, too.

woow, yeah I knew you must have had a thousand dollar camera, cuz those are thousand dollar shots!

Ok guys, money aside... Anyone that also collects SW 1/6 could help me decide if i should buy this or the Tamashii PM C-3PO... I can only afford one or the other at the moment. Anyone have both that could give suggestions?
