It does make things a bit more on the shiny side but if you apply it well enough it blends rather well. I've noticed that the car at some parts are more shiny than others any way. I dunno seems to be fine for me and it sure the hell beats dealing with the return shipping.

Wow that looks like it worked really well.

Yeah I think so. I got word back from BBTS. I guess they said they found 1 out of 3 that were messed up. And that the ones they did ship didn't have the damage many of us ended up with. I'm thinking, as they are that while in transit it is happening. I know when I picked mine up it was upside down and god know how it was treated in transport. I wish BBTS would have put plastic bags or something under the shell before they shipped them out after they inspected them. Seems Sideshow has it figured out now... finally. Anyway I'm happy with out it all worked out, as I had no issues with the lights and only minor scratches that got worked out.

Thanks for posting those, you did a great job on it. I wonder how shiny the whole car would look if it was entirely treated with Scratch X. Would it look like the Returns version?

Gorgeous pics kl241, my lawd!

Drakul I get to be envious of you now too! :horror

Hope mine can looks that good.
Well I finally got it out of my class and back home.

Now to open it up !!

I used Maguires premium car wax on mine to get the scuffs out. It does make it slightly more shiny but it works.

I mentioned this about 100 pages ago but phobicsquirrel's pics tell the real story of how successful the wax can be.

The best thing is, if the shine bothers you more than the scuffs, it's not permanent.

The Batmobile page is back up on wbshop.com, even though it is still listed as out of stock. Maybe they will be getting more in soon.

Sorry man, didn't know it was mentioned before. Have you noticed yours fading then?

No worries! My post didn't have pics. Yours showed the true before and after...that gets folks attention!

No fading but I can rub it off without causing any damage. You can also rub it down with a soft cloth to take some of the shine down. Point being, it's not permanent and you can work it to various stages of shiny to dull.

Great job on the pics!

Very tempted to try the Scratch X treatment on my minor scratches. Couple of questions-

Is there a chance the Scratch X might react with the paint/ plastic of the Batmobile over time?
You said that the shine isn't permanent- How do you knock the shine down a bit to a duller coat?
What kind of cloth is best to use for applying the Scratch X?

Thanks in advance!
