Just an update, I picked up some scratch x stuff in the automotive dept and applied "very" little to a cloth and it seems as though I got my scuffs and scratches out. You have to be really careful not to put too much on and be careful when applying it, but it blended really nicely with the rest of the car. Don't know if it would work with deep stuff though. I still used a large sheet of thin packing material to put on top the car and applied a bunch of two sided tape so it could stick to the shell. Seems as though it works pretty well. Until I get a case made I'm going to have to keep the shell on it to keep dust from resting on it, hell having it out for a few minutes at a time my dog's hair just clings to it and it's on the table!

Very interesting. Mine came clean but I was wondering when someone would find a remedy

That's great. Can we see a "before and after" pic?

Do you have pics to show the results? Thing is with Scratch X is it is an abraisive and acts as sand paper to the paint on the surrounding area. I would be concerned that there would be a larger discoloration area around where the scuffs were.

Also getting more red tape from Sideshow on my Batmobile return. Got an email saying they cannot process my refund because payments were made over 6 months ago (Flex payments) and have to call them directly to process the refund to a credit card. I left a voice mail but haven't heard back. Such a crock. They have done everything to make the return of this thing difficult. Definitely not the company they used to be.

My input may be off topic but I have used the Meguiars Scratch X on my car before.

It comes out as a lotion like cream. It helped clean up some of the clear coat scratches on my car. But I dont think the HT Batmobile has any clear coat. So I would not know how the Scratch X will do on straight paint.

It's here!!!!
Wife said "did you order a 10 feet tall Batmobile???!"

Pics coming (with my ****ty phone! I want my camera back!!!)

Would be awesome to have but after the issues dealing with issues on the Batmobile it's a pass.

Get in the car!
What car?

Batmobile (1989) 1:6 - Hot Toys

First of all HOLY CRAP!!!! Nothing, not words, not pictures, nothing can prepare you for the sheer size and presence of it. The box is freaking HUGE!! I had trouble moving it and no clue where I'm going to be able to store it....
Now the car. Well it's the freaking Batmobile!! it looks amazing, simply truly beautiful.
It comes with all sorts of gadgets, the lift, the shield, the grapple hook and more. the shield is really nice too but honestly I don't' really care about all the extras, for me it's the car, simply and only.
Now the trick is going to find out where I'm going to display it... I think I'll have to put her in my home theater and make a custom stand with an acrylic cover cause this babe is a dust magnet!
In case I wasn't clear if you think the 89 Batmobile is THE Batmobile then do yourself a favor and buy this!

"The one solid thing"? :dunno

There was also the acting... (Keaton, DeVito, Nicholson, Pfeiffer, Walken, etc)
The story...
The music...
The direction and overall cinematography...

I'd call of these pretty darned solid. But maybe that is just me.

Sallah

Sallah.. I didn't mean that was the only thing going for the movie.. I LOVE the film... It's what I personally thought was the greatest part.. but I'm speaking from a design standpoint, which is how I make a living...:) But your right it's all great!...:)

I received my Batmobile from Sideshow today and...it is not damaged!!! No scratch at all, only a very very thin line under both fuel tank hatch and some light dirty spot on the canopy.
My Batmobile was packed in plastic bag under the plastic shield, yours too?
The plastic shield took shots during shipment, but i don't care...
Everything else is ok!

Now my opinion = AWESOME, a pure masterpiece! The paint don't look plastic at all and it's a monster, i don't know where to put it...

I love it!

Sorry for my english, i'm french :)

Awesome... No apologies needed about your English...your speaking the international language of collecting here...:) I think this is just a great piece!

Phew! Okay... The wording threw me off a bit there. :)
